Jews weren't given reparations for being removed from their homeland though...

We should consider Australia differently. The reason being we were still taking children away from their parents until the 1970s.
Also there has never been a treaty giving them ' rights'.

I’m in two minds about it tbh. Right wingers (a kind way to put what I really mean) will say ‘no’ in my experience.

However, we really did take the mick and took trillions out of India alone.

But on the flip side, how far back do we go?

I’m in two minds about it tbh. Right wingers (a kind way to put what I really mean) will say ‘no’ in my experience.

However, we really did take the mick and took trillions out of India alone.

But on the flip side, how far back do we go?

the black americans who founded that country actually behaved similar to the whites in the USA:

Right, i don't think that's how it works though coz i am a British citizen, born and bred and if i was somehow awarded reparations, u say that i should then leave my home (England) and start a whole new life, in a place i've never been before because...i asked for something.

You are British so you don't get reparations.

Non of those examples are really comparable to Britain’s colonial era.

Why do you think you, a British man, should get reparations for something that happened 200 years before your birth.

A fair point. It also demonstrating the futility and inappropriateness of this venture for reparations. So far removed from the crime itself the reward doesn’t apply.

It’s getting some people that look a little bit like those who engaged in the slave trade (which was less than 50,000 people out of over 9,000,000 btw) to pay money to people who look a little bit like those who suffered from slavery. These generational guilt trips hold no water and never should do. It’s daft.
