This looks like it may have countered your Chelsea theory the other day Bales. But I can think who the players are?
What's my Chelsea theory again?
About their (and City I think) players not doing great this tournament
I think it was more about pl teams doing bad this season cos players not wanting to get injured ahead of the WC. But ok not sure.
So far I think everyone that's deserved to go through has. Though Neymar should've taken the first or second pen
I thought we was so much better than France.
Not rly
Was very close game butt u guys went b-hined twice n chasin the game
Starting to look forward to spurs coming back and disappointing me
Me too. Although this season I’ve not been as confident on him taking pens as I have before
Yeah he seems to have gotten a little into his head
At least nearly our whole squad have had a minimum of 2 weeks off
Thought we were a lot better than France. All they did all game was score two out of nothing

Even first half but dominated the second. No idea why Saka came off.
Still don’t understand how the player weren’t sent off for the second pen?

There was too much to question about the refereeing although the pen shout not given first half was a blatant free kick tbf
Saka was our best player, such a weird sub.
When the TV showed that young Spurs fan in blue and yellow scubber diving kit, England chances of winning took a nose dive.
They showed him crying at the end too. Pussio.

No. Spurs sent an email to everyone inviting them to watch the semi final at the ground on Tuesday. Mugs.
I know our views don't aling regarding Southgate bales, but this isnt regarding your opinion on him.
I find it really really really really annoying how people remain stuck on archaic views of him as a manager in a tournament 4 years ago - as if he hasn't grown (significantly) since then.
As if he is in any way responsible that in the previous two tournaments we had a very good penalty taker unable to convert.
How England have played this tournament has been very good, I am adament that we have been the best team in the tournament & are just unlucky that in a low-scoring game in which luck/chance plays a huge part we didn't get our rub of the green.
I never was a big Southgate fan back when everyone was signing his name every week - but now I think he has genuinely proven himself to be a top international manager.

As you probably expect, I'm not on board with the 'top international manager' assessment. I expected us to go out to the first decent team we faced and we did just that. To put it all on Kane's missed pen is unfair. We couldn't craft a goal from open play.
That being said, we played well, he didn't make any notable errors, etc. And yes, I disagree with the memeing and would suggest that he deserves to keep his job.
Looking around at our peers I can't help but be slightly envious. Flick, Deschamps, van Gaal, Mancini.. some impressive resumes there. We've got a relegated and sacked Boro manager..
Obviously you can point to the above and their relative failures, and I'd point to your observation that international managers add maybe +-5. I think Southgate now is a par manager. We're not performing any worse than we should be with him, but we're not performing any better either.
There's no basis to assume that he's going to improve. That's not too say he isn't and can't, but the only learned experience he's got to rely on when things get tough is that of failure.
