Edin...when are you inviting us to your gaff in 'murica ?
I think you should let your JA606 pals come and visit you
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which one, old or new?
Aye had a house accepted the other day
Oh nice one
Was it complicated cos you're not a citizen? Are you permanent resident? I couldn't get accepted until I was part way Canadian
Permanent resident I am, yes, its pretty easy in this country if you arent I believe (as long as you have the dolllllaaaaa to pay for it all in a oner)
That's interesting. Yeah I guess it'd probably be the same here if you paid everything up front tbf. Getting a mortgage as a foreigner is a bit more complicated AFAIK.
It’s easier to be a foreigner there though?
The green card is so strong I don’t know if the other visas have the same privileges
Can't really comment as I've only been through the immigration process here but it's pretty easy I'd say. Once you're a permanent resident you get free healthcare etc. Pretty much the only thing I can't do is vote.
They also can't take it off me unless I'm gone for 3 years out of 5 or do some really serious crime. There's a renewal fee for the card I think but that's it.
Yeh green card isn’t that great in the sense you don’t get benefits and can’t leave the country for more than a year
I don’t get this women’s equal pay in sport? Surely it’s should be proportional to the revenue generated by the respective sides.
Agreed H. But I think we're seeing it promoted everywhere not out of altruism, but it's a huge potential market. They must've sold football to most guys who are ever going to be interested by now
Here in US, the men n women teams generate about same $$ (women slitely moor)
They both have sane base oay n conditions n share any orize miney from bith men ire women comoetitions equally
So, makes sense butt it is not the same at all almised everywhere else in the wurld regarding revenue-creation
Will b interesting 2 see figures if USWNT continue too decline n not b as dominant
I posted on the other thread
I have two thoughts on the matter:
1. Kinda like the OP - it should be representitive of views etc. So in tennis or the US soccer team them making the same makes sense.
2. Its international football so why not pay them a bit extra? It's not like its going to bankrupt the Scottish FA (or any other FA). Similarly these girls are (rightfully) paid considerably less in club football - so why not allow them to get paid an amount that would help improve and better the sport.
I think point 2 definitely trumps point 1 for me
I think it’s wrong in club football but international football why not?
They can afford it and it’ll only benefit the woman’s game
I see your point about not bankrupting then but also at the same time clubs could easily just pull the plug on them if the feel they aren’t getting value for money from their set ups.
I completely on board if say men’s team get 60% of revenues earned then the women’s team should get 60% of revenue they earned.
Oh we're talking about wages. I've not seen the discussion. But yeah it's got to be proportional to the revenue.
It’s fine to pay them differently for the club game.
But the recent talking point has been for international and I don’t really mind about that. Women’s game needs (artificial) money injection like the men’s has had
Can’t sleep, full of cold, watching Star Wars movies out of sequence.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Why out of sequence? Why not just watch the original 3? Why not watch all the James Bonds instead? Have you got a chocolate orange?
