----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trouble for you lot, because he gave you that most of his career but I have to give him credit for the unexpectedly good tactical performance.
Barry instructed Dessers drop into midfield and mark Hatate and Engels at different times.
Sterling to get tight to Maeda and the police to press the Green brigade high.

Played 5.
Beat Kilmarnock away.
Lost to Motherwell at home.
Beat Fenerbahce over 2 legs.
Beat Celtic at Parkhead.
Hardly poor, Motherwell obviously far from ideal but other than that he's done very well.
He's got a reaction out of them, squad look to have more desire. He's pleasantly surprised us with the tactical tweaking. The issue with this group of players does remain they schit the bed in run of the mill matches and aren't suited to playing teams that sit in and are well organised.
I don't think he can get the job full time unless he wins the Europa which realistically doesn't seem feasible. His stock his rising though, not sure he's ersed for being a manager unless it's Rangers manager though but hopefully we can part ways with him having shown these players what it's about to play for Rangers and him having enjoyed doing the job he dreamed of and leave himself as the undoubted first pick if we require an interim again.
Who knows this might be the spark he needs to get back in elsewhere and prove he's got what it takes to be the full time Rangers manager. A long road to travel that though.

The Fenerbahce home game was a poor result but yes, looking at the whole picture it’s not as bad as I first thought.
Just don’t think Rangers will offer him the full time gig but instead thank him for his input and time and he’ll leave an even bigger hero after the Europa run and yesterday. Also think he’ll beat us at yours now.
He’s instilled a great deal of hope for next season so Rangers should learn from our debacle with Lennon and shake his hand.

1.we were our own worst enemy yesterday in that Rangers did not at any time playe scintillating football and tear us apart they simply pounced on our numerous defensive mistakes .
2. We played them off the park 2nd half and they scored with thier only shot on target in that half. Other than that fine strike they had one other attack of note which fortunately fell to Dessers then Barron
3. Brendan is not to blame fir the lame performances of Kasoer,AJ CCV engels and Khun the players themselves are to blame !
4. Had the game finished level at 2-2 instead of the combined brain fart from CCV and AJ which led to the
winning goal then nobody woukd be talking about it.

Agree with a lot of that, but I’d say Bazza got the “tactics” right by purely repeating what had worked in the previous OF at Ibrox, and to an extent in the LC Final … Press us high, play with intensity, and capitalise on the inevitable mistakes when we pash the bed. Not rocket science, and nothing that hasn’t been clearly seen to work multiple times before. We’ve been getting “outfought” in these types of games for a good while now, and we don’t seem to be learning … not that we have the personnel to play a more physical game anyway.
After the previous humping at Ibrox I thought we’d be fired up this time right from the get go. Instead we got an abysmal first half of football. Said yesterday it’s understandable if performance levels drop off with the league done, but absolutely not in an OF game. We’ve got used to phoning it in for a while now though, and are maybe finding out it’s harder to turn it back on for a full game when you get used to playing for the odd half hour every week.
