if you say so, I just thought I was cheering the boys on, taking my children to watch my beloved Leeds United, didn't realise I'm holding humanity back, what a sheer idiot I've been...
Bates Out
Tuscany, other than the last bit about the gene pool, his post is pretty much correct, if libelous though . The sooner bent snake leaves the better.
Shame your not running the club as you write as if you know everything.
But do people really fall into two set camps? Not sure they do. I for one will support the team whoever is in charge so as Tuscany states does that make me a criminal to humanity. Or are you the idiot for taking a view that everything Bates does is bad for the club. The issue is more complicated if you actual understand running a club. Yes ticket prices are too high (especially for kids). Should a higher % of income be spent on the squad........yes. But, has he stapalised the ship following the Risdale/Krasner years.....yes. Are we more financially self sufficient.......yes. I also think the Pavillion is good as you get to meet supports before the match and why shouldn't the club benefit from something which will pay for itself in the medium/longterm.
Ive said for ages, anyone who backs bates, backs the ra ping of fans and future generations of fans.
Five stars from me
go Bates go, I disagree to be fair, but it seems I say the same things every day as do many others who hate him also... so, I'd rather just leave it at that, and attend Leeds games, my children have no idea who Bates is, they just see the 11 white shirts playing for Leeds.....
just one thing to think about though, have you ever spoken to anybody who doesn't support Leeds? - almost every none Leeds fan calls us deluded for thinking we should be getting to the prem quicker, and wanting to spend more on players etc.... if everybody thinks that, do you think they might have a point? - and that we are all a little clouded by the past?

Tuscs
Everyone I talk to says the opposite and ask where all the money has gone and laugh that bates is destroying the club
While I agree with some of what you've said, we've had a Pavillion for a number of years and I don't think it loses £3m a year!

It was rebuilt only a 18 months ago
5 stars from me too.
Bates banks on people believing his spin and unfortunately many fans still do.
As Cas says though, it's not quite so binary, I'm sure there are many fans who don't like Bates, but they still want to try and see a game.
I'd like to see a mass boycott and get this man out lock, stock and barrel (club, ER and TA). I expect to see another decline in attendances next season could be looking at 20,000 average.
Or we could all support the team if Warnock gets the Bates wallet open and we see investment in the team this summer. Then power up the table and get promotion followed by a takeover due to our new status. The new owner impressed with how all the fans got behind the team.
Boycotts do not and never have worked

Jonty... thats correct mate, how would I tell my children that I won't be taking them to the football in England anymore because of the chairman, as it happens I think Bates isn't half the monster he's made out to be, as you know.
maybe we all shouldn't be so wrapped up in it? - either you want to wacth Leeds or not? - hardly life or death, though football does seem that way
I', sure we all have other things we could be doing rather than talking about some bloke with beard eh?

............................................................................
This is the problem, about half the remaining ST holders at Elland Road have somehow continued to swallow up this spin.
They hold Grayson 100% accountable for everything that has gone wrong, (which is exactly what Bates/Harvey/Lorimer want them to think), and most worrying of all, they actually believe that Warnock will be backed properly in the transfer market this Summer
I'm wondering when these people will actually grasp the reality of the situation.
LIW,
I know it was but there was still a smaller version there for some number of years before.
I know allegedly it cost £1m to rebuild, but I can't believe for 1 minute that we lost £3m in 1 year on it.
Colin
Look at the facts, the wage bill at leeds is higher than most in the league.
It should be higher yes, but grayson got a good budget and wasted
Sausages, it cost £2m to build reportably. Here are latest accounts since it was spinned off as separate entity.

The only Boycott that has worked is Geoffrey
I suppose, it is all down in words on 606, so the Bates haters, or the Bates 'supporters' for want of a better word will either be right or wrong..
If we get an article on sky sports, or in the media saying KB has been arrested for fraud etc, then I'll be the first one to hold my hands up and say 'I got it wrong, I beleived he was good for the club, but was wrong'
If however, Leeds get to the premiership at the end of next season, after seeing NW backed well, and policy on tickets are a little more fairer, LUFC still making profits, running in the black etc, and we become a prem club with no debt and a decent team with long copntracts, I hope some of you will do the same, 'I got it wrong, he is good for the club'
would that be a fair assesment? or resolution? I'm a bit sick of debating it, as I'm sure many others are, but would it be fair to suggest this?
Those accounts show that the Pavillion is a loss making business.
LIW, would you say that would be a fair way to do it?
Jonty? you too? - fair to say the above?
