fancy some forssell scratchings with that sir?
A reasonable price would be in line with the rest of the mid table dross in the Championship since that's what we're paying to see. An average ticket price of £20-£22 for an adult is what I'd expect based on the crap we have to endure.
There's no logic in what you say at all really.
Tickets was in 2006-2007 priced at
Cat A 26 cat B 21
Our average gate was only 21,613
And that's with cheaper tickets. And it was low because we did poor.
Tickets was in 2007-2008 priced at
Cat A 25 cat B 20 cat c 15
Our average gate was 26,546
Tickets was in 2009-2010 priced at
Cat A 26 cat B 21 cat c 15
Our average gate was 24,817
When will people learn lower ticket prices does not guarantee mean fans in.
fans will turn up based on success rate.

(U12978) great passion though you need a different hobby mate
watch the Barca game the other day? good game eh?
looking forward to the Manchester Derby? - will be good won't it...
reading your words Pal makes me think you don't like KB
chill cousin, try been relegated 4 divsions in one foul swoop... it can be worse
Jonty, did you scrutinise Ridsdale for where the money went, or where it came from in this way? - or is kind of that why you are doing with KB, kind of a leson learnt?
Also, Leeds were in the championship for ten years in the 80's (ish) weren't they, was it the same again then, chairman taking grief?.
well, I have another baby due in June, and my business is booming, I love watching Leeds, and of course my first team Fiorentina...... I actually rather like my life, I just don't feel the need to scrutinise every transaction made by KB, it is a pitty nobody did this with Ridsdael really?? - KB doesn't have a fish tank to my knoweldge.
Good day to all
I was sticking up for you there actually Tuscany.
I did actually look at the accounts at the end of the Ridsdale era, you could see all was not well then.
-------
Also, Leeds were in the championship for ten years in the 80's (ish) weren't they,
---------
Are you saying you weren't supporting us then so didn't know that?
80 were different, with no media saturation nor internet the level of scrutiny was much less but the board came under pressure especially when Billy was sacked.
I was sticking up for you there actually Tuscany.
---
I know Jonty, thanks for that
---
yeah, I knid of supported Leeds in the 80's, thouugh growing up in Italy, it was all about Liverpool, and Arsenal, I did go to a few games at ER though... one of the best games was actually the away game at sheff utd when we won 1 - 0, they showed it on a big screen.
Also, I think 1991 when we lost 5 - 4 to Liverpool quite possible the best game I've ever seen at ER, despite losing.
As for the board in the same light, I thought so, do you not think though (in a big scale of things) that this is just happens to Leeds? - i.e every 20 years or so we come good? - I mean the 80's was a bigger fall from grace yes?
I was at that Liverpool game too, was so proud of that team and it should have been 5 all.
I think the fall into div3 was the biggest fall from grace.
We have to accept that we're an above average club that has had some short bursts of success but seem unable to keep that up consistently.
It's 20 years since we won anything and nearly 10 years since we were in the top flight and we have no divine right to be there.
Jonty, I agree with that, and I must admit for a football fan it is hard to take, especially from other fans comments towards us, but you are quiet right that we don't have any right to be in the prem, there are lots of other clubs etc, West Brom for me is a great example of a club that is well run, (I could be wrong) but they are in the prem, makes profit, yet are a feeder club, any time they get a half decent player he move on for bigger wages etc... thing is the West Brom fans are perfectly happy with this, Leeds fans aren't. I think thats why the KB thing divides us, becuase it is fair to say that nearly every club (speaking from Italian football fan's point of veiw) the chairman has questions to answer after the accounts, Ridsdake did for sure, and in fact he's taken every club he's been with into admin it's football these days that means you have to be massively backed to move up to top ten, Villa did it for a while, but in the end couldn't sustain it, this is why IMO the hotel thing, and the other steams of business are vital for long term future success.
on a lighter note, other than 5 - 4 loss to Liverpool, Barca at home 1 - 1, great game, Spurs at home 1993, 5 - 0 Rod Wallace got 3 that day didn't he? - could be wrong? - copmplete contrast to losing to Norwich 4 - 0 at home Fox got a hatrick I beleive his 3rd, Norwiches 4th, Lukic got on his knees for some strange reson, and fox just too kthe ball round him
Tuscany which clubs did Ridsdale take into admin?
That Liverpool game, Sparta Prague at home 3-0 beating Wimbledon about 5-1 at home, some great memories!
Didn't ridsdale take Barnsely and other one recently into Admin? - and of course left Leeds in a little mess too?
Basitas 6 - 0 was good game, watched that on the TV, couldn't beleive what I was watching, I think that came after the 4 - 0 thumping we took at Barca, so didn't expect to win 6 - 0, that game IMO gave us the confidance to go to Madrid, lose 3 - 2 but 'battered em' as NW would say.
Jonty, some great memeories and comments here, and again we have found reason, don't you think it is a pity that on here people can have the most god awful fall outs over Bates? - I find that such a shame, you and I, Leeds fans, head of our worlds, have enough in comment to be friendly to each other over a forum, but when Bates is mentioned it always turns nasty (not with you and I) but many others... what a pity it is... what doesn't help are the abusive comments, (on both sides) Koppie did it, and we all know what LIW is like - I find it such a shame
so didn't expect to win 6 - 0, that game IMO gave us the confidance to go to Madrid, lose 3 - 2 but 'battered em' as NW would say.

sorry Jonty, I meant go to Madrid, and the rest of the games we played, I know thety weren't in succession
Ridsdake did for sure, and in fact he's taken every club he's been with into admin
---------------
Ridsdale is a sh yster, but I don't think he's ever actually taken clubs into admin himself.
Tuscany, I'm not a big fan of the abuse either, but the different points of view are what makes football so addictive.
Tusc
Thing is am not blinded by my hatred of bates.
Alot are.
Agreed massively, don't klnow about you but sometimes I just wish I supported Yoevil Crown green bowling team, and not love football so much
having said that, sat in the San siro when we beat Milan 2 - 1, 2 weeks ago, next to my Milan supporting brother.... its not all bad eh?
LIW... not blinded??? so when I asked you if there was anything he could do to turn it round, you said 'nope', is a little blinded isn't it? - again with you, what a great supporter, go to every home game, know your football well, fair to say despite our sparrings we do get on, until Bates is mentioned (or NJS ) and we end up having a big argument
I suppose that is football though
there are some interesting things beyond the obvious that make Leeds special:
Book written about us (Damned United)
Film written about us (Damned United)
Song sung about us (Leeds United - Amanda Palmer)
Macron changed the colour of their logo for us
Foreign sports teams nick our anthem!
Which other club is as influential as Leeds?
Tuscany
He's had eight years, long enough mate.
What i mean is, people just guess and say the manager hasnt had any money and we dont pay good wages, even though the facts show that we do.
My gripe is that it should be more with the turnover the FANS generate
Real Madrid? - is the reason why Leeds play in white, I think bfore it was blue and yellow? like Leeds rugby?
in modern times, Barca will lead the way I suspect, we'll see loads of teams trying to pass it like them?
true though about Leeds, didn't Leeds influence other teams to do the 'keep the ball in the corner thing' at the end of the game, or last few minutes? that all started from Revie days didn't it?
LIW thats true, a Bates argument usually starts, 'he needs to back managers', which of course he does, but yeah I can see your point there, the thing is when money is tight, or tioghter, it is easier to scrutinise it more, nobody had any need to do it when ridsdale was in charge, we just thought, oh great Rio for 18 million, Seth for 9 million, Fowler, Keane etc etc... certianly didn't question it.... aaaaggggrrrr if only we'd have stopped spending before Fowler came.... we had young kids still coming through, Milner, Lennon etc, what a pity
Tuscany Leeds had such an influence even Leicester changed their strip to all white but changed it back after a season due to fan unrest.

Really? didn't know that
Is it true about the ball in the corner thing too?
Leeds were always known in Italy, despite us being in the old 2nd division, the name always had a talking point, I could sit there and listen to my father and his people talking football, and Leeds - even when I was at the age of 7 (1989) when we came good and won the title in 1992, everybody started to notice us too, oh and the Stugart game Jonty, was at the 4 - 1 win at ER, thought we'd been knocked out only for my father to wake me up in the morning "stiamo giocando ancora, ancora" - we are playing again, agian - Carl shut to score the winner
Was a big Carl Shutt fan, that Stuttgart home match was something else.
I watched it on tv and the commentator said something along the lines of 'Leeds have been brilliant, in my mind, justice has not been done' what a lovely surprise to hear we'd gotten another bite of the cherry.
