But Lampard isn’t helping by playing them in different positions each game.

Havertz & Werner were not suited to a 3-4-3. Mount is not a wide player. Call me impatient but Lampard‘s tinkering is delaying any improvements
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s my thoughts too !

Lampard will think that keeping clean sheets is a sign of improvement of our defence. I am not sure he knows how to improve the defence without sacrificing the ability to attack yet.

Chopping and changing doesn’t help the team to settle either. There is no team chemistry or an identity on a style of play.

Yes you generally need good players to do well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice.

Or you could admit managers are there to elevate their abilities and to get them to play better than individuals and more as a team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously. But then you’re pretending he hasn’t improved anyone so what’s the point
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not pretending anything. Who has he improved? Zouma hasn't improved. He's been good. He isn't any better than we knew he was. He just got more time on the pitch.

Mount? Tammy? CHO? Mount is just growing as a player naturally. Luckily he had a great start and earned himself a lot of time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah so when someone improves it’s solely down to them but if someone gets worse it’s all Lampard. Not ar’sed arguing that

Lol he’s definitely improved Mount. Trying to deny that is ludicrous.

Zouma at the start of last season was crap. Since then he’s got back to his 2015 levels.

Lampard consistently brings in the wrong striker for the situation/game. Thats a huge issue. Not recognizing how to capitalize on an opportunity.

We have a full-strength team now. Lampard is still acting like we need another two transfer windows
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well we have had a full strength team for how long now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Long enough to not play the underdog
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you keep conceding 3 goals in a game, you are the underdog. Truth is Lampard has not had the time with these players and the players gave not had the time yet either. Pulisic for example is clearly feeling his way back.Havertzand Werner not up to speed yet either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you keep conceding three goals in a game get a different manager .
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Eventually yes.

Giroud/Tammy/Werner, he needs to figure out which of them suits each game.

Play to their strengths.

Giroud not getting a look in, bit like last season until he decided to use him after January. He's a far better sub than Bambi on ice

He's improved Pulisic, got a consistency about him now that was lacking at Dortmund, one which if was there would've seen him go for the same 120mil euros they're demanding for Sancho.

He has improved certain players, undeniable.

If youre gonna go 3 at the back maybe try Kai or Pulisic in behind a front two of Werner and Giroud

Didn't know you'd be like this. Mount started better last season than he's been since. That start has earned him endless mins. How has he improved since?

Zouma was already a solid defender with weaknesses. With more mins that remained constant. How has he improved since being under Lampard?

Laugh all you want but you have no retort to a difference in opinions. So its all a bit weak.

Mount was scoring mroe freely beginning of last season maybe but he developed quite clearly as a player over the year

I will always love Lampard but he just does not seem right for this role at this moment in his career. There is nothing traitorous about saying that.

Liverpool had Dalglish for a season in 2012 and as much as it pained them they sacked him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't even like Lampard that much. For some reason hecwad never my absolute Chelsea favourite. I much preferred Drogba, Cole, Zola and a few others.
