Wonder when they’ll do a all or nothing for us on amazon

The Athletic understands a quoted figure of £52.5million ($63.4m) is below the club’s asking price.

We should walk away. They’re milking us now.

Yup - seem very reluctant to sell. He just signed a new contract so they have all the leverage too. I can see why City walked away almost instantly.

Yep, we can use Cucurella as the escape goat.

#Chelsea are in talks with Michael Edwards to fill the sporting director role, and there is not thought to be any exclusion clause in his contract with Liverpool that would prevent him from joining a Premier League rival immediately.

#Chelsea are willing to offer players to Leicester City as part of a deal for Wesley Fofana, after offering £60M, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek has made it clear that he will not be a makeweight to secure Fofana.

Our club is such a circus I trust none of it now.

Boehly's team is seemingly briefing journos deals are done and then they aren't, which is embarrassing too.

#Chelsea defender Matt Miazga is in advanced talks to join FC Cincinnati on a permanent deal. If a move falls through, there is interest from clubs in the Championship and from Belgium.

Forza there’s a movie called Glorious coming out soon. Lovecraftian horror. Something about a glory hole. Might be worth checking out.

We should seriously consider accepting. If we can get £30m that would be probably as high as we could realistically hope for.

Werner might be good for them - so we might not want to strengthen one of our direct competitors.

Antonio Conte on Spurs competing with Man City and Liverpool:

"I think you forgot #Chelsea. This is a big mistake. You're talking about a team who two seasons ago won the #UCL… why is Chelsea not in this group of top teams? For me Chelsea are in this group."

Cesar Azpilicueta wanted his #Chelsea future to be sorted before the start of the Premier League season, while Barcelona asked for a few more days to resolve the issue of FFP. Azpilicueta communicated his decision with Barcelona and Xavi this morning.

Cesar Azpilicueta will not join Barcelona this summer. He will renew for two more seasons at #Chelsea.

Not against that at all. I think he’ll be a solid squad player. Can cover all defensive positions.

Feels like people are completely forgetting how our season completely fell apart when Alonso and Azpi became our first choice wingbacks.

Wingbacks are such an important position in a 3atb system. Keeping hold of an ageing Azpi because he's a "body" at wingback is essentially giving up before the season has even started. What happens if James is out for 1/2 months? Is anyone here comfortable with Azpi starting for that length of time because I'm certainly not.

Also Tuchel started to rely less and less on Azpi at RCB as last season went on. He still has decent positioning but his physicality is definitely waning. The difference between James and Azpi playing RCB is like night and day.

Honestly really disappointed that we've kept him. Was an opportunity for us to evolve as a team (and bring in a more dynamic backup) and for Azpi to get a move back to Spain. Seems like Tuchel went for the intangible "leadership qualities" rather than what would help us improve as a team.

I'd prefer to use RLC to back up James at RWB. But Azpi is still serviceable at RCB, assuming no drastic decline.

If it stops us spending £40m on walker-peters or Dumfries, then I'm in favour.

Can bring in a RB/RWB next summer, ideally Livramento with our buyback, if he recovers well from injury.

Agreed, I do so Azpi as back up RCB more than RWB though.

Looks like Colwill is going to be a loan only. I assume we're paying a slightly higher fee for Cucurella as a result.
