I'm happy RVP is demanding success and good recruits. Wenger needs a reality check if Wenger can't assure him of these then I want RVP to leave because Wenger won't deserve him.

Infact if Wenger isn't willing to go the distance then Wenger should leave its about time we win trophies again, not that I'd want to be Liverpool and finish 8th BUT they have a trophy and a shot of being back in top 4 this season so not really too much to worry about with them. RVP may actually be helping us out

What's happened here is that the Arsenal fans came in all cocky and then realised that they were getting mauled

So they resorted to stereotype

That's rookie stuff

A flawless victory

Omg do i have to be serious now?

Spot on, Wenger must have his reasons, personally i think Arsenal need new owners and they will be sorted, if kroenke sold to usmanov (spelling) Arsenal could win everything, all this but usmanov is corrupt etc so what ? So is Abramo.

''You've had to identify a parameter to suit Arsenal but you require the history card to do that.''
---

I don't constantly talk about Arsenal's history and how glossy it is. Unlike you do with your own club. Liverpool's overall history is very good, but your short-term history is not.
===

''You'd have to be an idiot not to grasp your mistake here.''
----

The only idiot here is you. Intentionally misconstruing my comments and oversimplifying what I'm saying. You really don't understand.
===

''Was you being ironic with the insult part?''
---

Yup.
===

We've had a better long term history
---

Yes. You have.

Short term? No. You're the one accusing me of using a parameter to suit my club's success, yet you're the one doing it for your own club. I've started the parameter for success when the Premier League was formed, so it's not exactly a random number of years, is it? Come back and debate when you actually have a clue what you're talking about.

You've failed to sustain a solid position in the league and have won two significant trophies in the barren years we haven't. You went 6 years without winning silverware too, yet now you've won the League Cup you feel the need to gloat. In terms of the longer term positions of our club, I think we'll continue to show better progress than Liverpool like we have done since the Prem started.

Do you think Liverpool are currently a better team than Arsenal? Yes or no?

Martinez knows how to avoid relegation. Fact.

All this trophy talk...

You'd be forgiven for thinking you're all glory hunters.

.....

Wrong, I can use our last football season

Liverpool 1 trophy
Arsenal zero

Nobody is overstating anything, you're point is ridiculously flawed.

Be it short or long term, Liverpool are winning trophies

We've picked up 4 since your last one so I could have used any number over the last 7 years.

"Come back and debate when you actually have a clue what you're talking about"

There's that irony again. The points against you have been straight-forward and damning.

telling someone they haven't a clue won't save you as the thread is clear indication of your lousy points which have been debunked and mocked with relative ease

Of course trophies matter. He was people to win things, he wants fans in 20 years to be talking about the Arsenal team that won the PL, CL and FA Cups whilst he was there.

But he could win 5 Carling Cups on the bounce and nobody would consider it a huge achievement. It's a nothing competition. I'm sure he'd prefer 5 chances at winning the CL like he has done.

posted on 27/5/12

* I do like the Carling Cup though, it's a good competition to see young players and give them taste of first team football and giving players much needed playing time.

But let's face it, no PL teams play their first team until the final.
