Spurs have worse squad depth than us.

Spurs' squad depth really isn't that bad. It's not amazing, but it's decent. They've got match-winners in their squad.

Spurs have 20 centremids and 12 Keepers. Lots of depth there.

Not much depth anywhere esle.

Wenger,

I can't really be bothered to argue with you mate, you are obviously one of those posters that doesn't actually want to debate.

If I wanted to have a petty childish argument with someone, I wouldn't be on a football forum, I would be talking to my wife.

I knew Spurs wouldn't get Moutinho as well, called it around midday when the fee was agreed. He was in the Porto squad for their game today and travelled too, it was too late. I hope United go for him in January though, we made a bid for him after the Euro's.

Of course losing Modric and van der Vaart isn't good, but at times, I've seen van der Vaart slow their play down and he has been too greedy. A brilliant talent and class player, but he won't be missed that much. Modric will be a huge loss though, but the fact that they have signed Dempsey, Dembele, Sigurdsson, Vertonghen, Lloris and probably one or two others I can't remember, shows that they are trying to compensate for the absences of the aforementioned players. They had a better transfer window than we did.
---

VDV and Modric are their two best passers of the ball tho. VDV's goals may have been replaced by Dempsey but he is not going to replace his creativity in the final third.

Modric knits their play together. Without him they lack cohesion in midfield. Its as big a loss as RVP for yous IMO. If they replaced him with Moutinho then that would have been excellent.

Ade is their only striker who can play up front in their system. If he gets a injury they are f...ed.

Also AVB is hardly a PL experienced manager.

I honestly believe Spurs have had a crap transfer window. Dembele was just some lucky gem.

Well, I suppose we'll wait and see Saint, but anyone who predicts us to comfortably finish in the top four is being silly. It's not going to be easy at all.

If we finished in the top 4 and won a trophy, I would say that would be a good season for us. That should be our target this season.

WNM, don't spoil the debate please.

Same Saint, I mean the players they've signed are decent enough but nothing special, while I'm disappointed we didn't sign anyone I'm glad we don't bow to pressure and sign some of the average players people call for us to get.

I can't see you win the Europa, I can see Athletico winning it again IMO.

The chances of a team retaining the cup are quite slim.

We could very well be in with a shot.
Our defence is has improved as well as our attacking firepower.

I'd go with Borussia Monchengladbach, Lazio and Napoli for the teams to win it

THFC, you've lost arguably your best defender in Kaboul for quite a while. We'll have to see how Vertoghnen and Caulker step up in his absence.
