Reasons behind OS Decision Delay?

I thought I would give you some stick but unlike you I am using true facts & figures.
---

Facts? Like one of this?

"They are saying they will need public funding in order to facilitate the seating. It is unlikely that will be granted, given the amount of public money already spent on the OS."

In answer to your question, No I am not LB Newham's financial adviser, however if I was then I would be recommending a very close scrutiny of the Business Case used in allotting taxpayers money to a private venture.
--

Have you spent that 18mil cheque yet?

Genius :

That ACTUALLY HAPPENED.

Newham are a Labour council.
BBC London ran a report where a LABOUR councillor, at the time of the first OS tender, went to his ruling group and asked for the DETAILS of the Newham bid.

He came out and waved a sheet of A4 paper in the reporters' face.

That was ALL the council were prepared to give ONE OF THEIR OWN regarding the details of a complex and potentially costly legal/financial matter.

So which 18 million cheque would that be muffinboy?

posted on 6/12/12

RDBD...................................The Mayor of Newham only gave his Cabinet the details of the original offer to WHU 10 minutes before the meeting to vote on it.

Allegedly, some of the Cabinet were furious but would not vote against the Mayor because they liked their positions & benefits too much!

muffinboy.....................................Just to cut you off at the legs, any funding Spurs might get comes out of the Re-Generation Fund which is used to help rebuild run down & deprived areas.

This money is to pay for road improvements & the underground upgrade necessary to service the new stadium.

So quite why you are comparing us getting money whilst you potentially get a £439m stadium plus the benefit of hundreds of millions spent on rail & traffic links into Stratford, baffles me!!

Not exactly comparing apples with apples are we?

Well I guess muffinboy has given up on this, or has had to go to afternoon nursery?

Though to be fair, if we knew that Newham were trying to leech off the s like the Peoples Republic of Haringey tried on Spurs, and going to succeed too, I'm sure we would be far less cruel in our mocking.

To facilitate the customers of private company, Spurs?

Apparently, West Ham are doing a favour to earn a respectable return to 500mil white elephant.

Sorry, using the word respectable in connection with the dodgy 3 is too much muffinboy.

You are obviously scraping the bottom of the barrel. Just so you know Spurs have already invested over £8m in to the local community, and both Transport For London & Haringey Council had already got applications in for upgrade to transport infrastructure before we looked at a new stadium.

Incidentally most private companies in the UK can apply for grants in order to further their business's, these grants have to fall within guidelines including employment links & be of benefit to the local community.

The only ones benefiting from WHU getting the OS is West Ham & the dodgy 3some!!

Its a shame really because you will never fill the OS, unless you allocate unlimited seats to whoever you are playing in whatever division you will be in by then!!!

Do you have a better solution then please tell. You call them dodgy 3 whereas your owner (major share holder), Joe Lewis is staying in Bahamas fearing for tax-evasion charges. Glass houses and all....

Didn't Arsenal paid their own pocket to improve the transport facilities in around the stadium? Why it should be exempted for Spurs?

Is it like one of your "inevitable" prediction....Of course, you can find empty seats at Old Trafford or 36k White Hart Lane, but who cares if they are all paid for..

There is no need to be that much bitter..you'll never lose your fan base....just for now.

No Arsenal did not fund the Emirates entirely free of public money. They were given grants and tax breaks to facilitate this project.

It is Karren Brady who is proposing to give free seats to thousands..............................

Please provide source for your Joe Lewis and any impending prosecution for tax evasion?

Lewis is allowed to spend up to 90 days per annum in the UK without incurring any tax liability.

He is a resident in Nassau, Bahamas and in the past 12 months has been in the UK multiple times the most recent being in October 2012. If he was in anyway wanted for any tax offences do you not think he would have been arrested by now.

It is typical of you that instead of answering with logical and reasoned points you try & besmirch someone's character to further your own little mind.

So put up or shut up, again please provide evidence of your allegation!!

Get "millionaire" Mich in here.
He's the multiple personality with "offshore investments" .

It's you who said "dodgy 3".

"After selling the family business in the late 1970s, Lewis moved into currency trading in the 1980s and 1990s, resulting in his move to the Bahamas where he is now a tax exile.[1] In September 1992, Lewis teamed up with George Soros to bet on the pound crashing out of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism. The event, which was dubbed Black Wednesday, made Lewis very wealthy, and some say he made more than Soros." - Wikipedia.org

Look for the word "tax exile". What else should you need?

Now, you are accusing 3 good people, one is born in Tottenham are dodgy. Shame at you, old man.

You still didn't answer my question, old man. Why are you so bitter about West Ham getting OS?

Oh dear!! Tax Exile means someone who is British but lives elsewhere and does not pay British taxes!!
It does not mean someone is corrupt or being a tax evader!! Anyone wjo earns a living abroad & is not in the UK more than 90 days in any calendar year is not obliged to pay UK income tax on their earnings.

Think Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Michael Caine, Simon Cowell, Sean Connery.............................

Your grasp of life is fairly pathetic muffinboy, and to rely entirely on wikipedia as your main source is
