Who you supporting tomorrow

Have to be honest, a draw would do nicely

I'd rather a Spurs win with a gun to my head though. I want to see whether Arsenal can cope with dropping out the CL places for a season.

Well I have had Bale in my fantasy team for quite a while so I would be supporting Tottenham but I've taken him out now.. So I have no Arsenal or Spurs players in my team at the moment. Just hoping for a good match.

What about you? Who are you supporting tomorrow?

You got a tough one tomorrow as well, WBA are flying and beat you last yr

When i do that, its a sure sign that player will hit some form. Here's hoping its a good omen.

Have a feeling bale will win us the game tomorrow

Chicken

I took him out based on the fact that you're not exactly firing on all cylinders at the moment and from what I been reading on your board, things arent exactly rosy in your team regarding player selections, tactics, formations, style of play. They're all things that could affect your star man. Thats the reading I'm getting anyway from you Spurs fans so I swapped him for Fellaini. (His goals will dry up now )

Not sure where you got that impression Mr Chelsea

Well, all you guys have been at each others throats since the start of the season. Civil war on your board

And its all John terrys fault for getting sacked from England captaincy, before that day in feb life was sweet ........................

posted on 16/11/12

I guess it kind of did start from that sacking of John Terry. See. Dont mess with Terry. It'l come back to bite you right on your backside.

You shouldnt have sacked Harry. Continuity is key especially when you're floating around 3rd/4th place. Most clubs cant afford to go sacking managers who come 4th. You need stability to push on from there. You didnt need a whole new guy to come in and do things his way when the last guy was doing pretty much everything right.

Chelsea can sack managers because we have an insanely rich owner but stil doesnt excuse some of the sackings we've done.

Harry had to go im affraid but i just wish we could turn the clock back to jan

levy has not backed AVB so far so jan will be interesting

if no major signings then i expect the top 3 to finish wel clear and a fight for 4th with 3 or 4 other clubs

posted on 16/11/12

By the way, before you get your knickers in a twist, I'm not saying we can do whatever we want because we have a rich owner, Just saying, Roman's a bit of a crazy rich fan of Chelsea and doesnt mind putting money into the club and he wil pay whatever to get any manager or player. Your club is run differently and I guess in the right way so your sackings need to be spot on.

The debate wil rumble on whether you were right in sacking Harry or not. Only time will tell.

As Weare knows, i do not agree that Harry "had to go". I just cant imagine the record was that much broken that it needed so much fixing.

I wouldn't mind if we had been a club like Chelsea who have a history of changing managers all the time, whilst still challenging for the title &/or at least a Top 4 spot for how ever long.

We're Spurs & have only achieved a 4th placed finish twice in Premiership history - and both times under just one manager.

Unless Harry wanted to leave, then there is no case that he definitely "had to go".

Time will tell if AVB suceeds.. im on the fence but giving him a season

Really ??
Take as long as you like to explain why this is so (I can wait all weekend for your magnum opus) .

Weare,

I know there was talk of the title by over excited pundits but i dont think there was any realistic chat about it - there certainly wasnt from me.

Chronic / RDBD,

There is no evidence why Harry had to go. There has been speculation that it could have been the fact we finished 4th - not 3rd, the media attention, the England job saga, wage demands & probably more.

There has been no official statement as far as i'm aware. As such, if someone is doing a good job, regardless of a strained relationship, there is nothing set in stone to say that Harry had to part employment with Spurs.

RDBD, you have asked me to explain why there is no case he definitely had to go, which i have explained. Can you explain the official line, the confirmed reason why he "definitely" had to go?

"There is no evidence why Harry had to go." .

Everything you stated are cogent reasons, together or in isolation, as to why the end decision could made.

"As such, if someone is doing a good job, regardless of a strained relationship, there is nothing set in stone to say that Harry had to part employment with Spurs."

People who have a strained working relationship can rarely continue to productively operate together in a dispassionate manner.

"you have asked me to explain why there is no case he definitely had to go, which i have explained."

Levy refused to talk contracts until the end of next season.
Arry said there is no point in staying if that is the sentiment.

There you go, one case.
I'm sure numerous others can be as easily constructed.

"Can you explain the official line, the confirmed reason why he "definitely" had to go?"

As there as there has never been an "official line" stated, then by definition how can it be explained ??

That is my point.

No Chicken, you claimed there was " is no case that he definitely "had to go" " .

I gave you one.

Unless of course you wish to contend my case is a "non" case.

So in fact any cogent reason given by anyone, may be exactly the one made by Levy.

The flaw of claiming the universal premise, when a counter-example can easily be found.

Try not to do so again so readily.
