I love the way you managed to infer that I said Beckham wasn't committed. Don't let the fact that I said nothing of the sort get in the way of your "omg that is garbage" high horse.
Brand Beckham inspired a whole generation of footballers to focus on their image. Nothing to do with the player, everything to do with the media.
You talk like Beckham was the first brand footballer, he wasn't, he was just bloody good at selling his brand.
Don
You think David Beckham was the first player who worried about their image?
Please

Brand y is to blame, certainly where Gascoigne is concerned.
I would say that a lot of that is down to your manager. He is going to be an inconsistant striker if your manager keeps playing him on the wing.

What a load of tosh. Do you really think having watched him week in week out for years I'm going to agree with your assessment which is based on the one time he put in a shift in his "preferred position"... then went completely missing in said position next week.
Wayne
You keep ducking the important question.
Why of all the teams in the world do you support an English one?
Keegan, Brooking, etc. were lauded and admired as pillars of English football
Beckham was lauded for how he looked in underwear
Because that is a foolish question.
Beardsley was three times the player Beckham was. If he had a good stylist he'd have his own brand now.
Beckham practised freekicks in his pants
In black and white
looking moody
Special pants maketh the footballer.
What a load of tosh.
..............
No, it isn't.

I couldn't care less what you think.
I don't value your opinion.

Rob you can't demand that of Wayne. Everyone has the liberty to support whichever team they want and how it starts really shouldn't be queried like that you know. For some it's a style of play, a game they saw as a kid, a player that they love or some other reason that kicks it all off.
I just don't think it's fair man. Cut him some slack for his observations whether or not you agree with him. We all surely can't have the same beliefs.
I'm just pleased we've reached VC's level already, usually it takes at least 4 posts before he reverts to the gutter style that underpins his character
Kuki
I never said he shouldn't support United, but if he went to Old Trafford and started slagging off British players do you think that would go down well?
I have nothing against Wayne but just wish he'd see that United are an English club and to slate English players and want them replaced with 'foreign' ones is a silly demand.

Rob has been all over my ärse today.

I don't dislike you and to be honest we've gotten on a lot more recently.
But lay off the anti-Englishness!
Englishman are the scourge of the earth. I blame the empire.
