There could be some truth in it. Maybe not him being sold or being linked with Chelsea, but the rift between him and Fergie. Fergie looked quite peed off with him during the Swansea game when he was w ank. And seems strange how he's been out ever since with an injury.
I will file this along with the 'Nani isn't injured at all, but has already been sold, and SAF isn't playing him so he isn't injured for his new club' theory of Elvis.
Then again, one look at who the OP is, tells you that.
Aye, has anyone realised the OP is a City fan and one of many wums from their board?
I don't know why some people are just dismissing this article as stirring or wummery.
There are a lot of things that make sense.

I'm not dismissing it as wummery but just get fed up with the amount of articles stating as fact that we are "linked" with so and so... who says? Some fecking juorno trying to get web hits or sell papers!! It's unbelievable how so many people get caught up in believing such rubbish.
Now, if the article had started "Hello United fans, I have a scenario and wonder how you think you would cope..." that would be different.

Ah, you are a bitter little man aren't you?
Happy new Chin.
The tabloids have used the fact United giving Rooney time off to grieve for his sister in law as a means of leaving the club soon.

Which tabloids have run this story?
I am assuming the contents from the OP is a tabloid as they're stupid enough to make a story on it
If I was a pro footballer I'd be so pis$ed off about the amount of rumours that come around after trivial things.
The media pi$s me off as it is, if they kept running rubbish stories about me all the time it'd be even worse.

Oh I see. I think it is just based on pure wummery to be honest.
I can imagine that SAF still holds something against Rooney for the way he messed the club about with his last contract. However, I suspect that he knows that Rooney is too important to let a personal gripe influence his decision.
If United are planning to sell Rooney in the summer and he knew, he'd be very unsettled and I really don't like seeing an unsettled Wazza especially during a title race
It could very well be a load of tosh but it's not a far fetched story.

Irrespective of his form this season, he still has 7 PL goals and the same number of assists in 12 starts and 2 sub appearances. Just shows that he still helps the team even when not playing that great.

Think the signings of Kagawa and RVP was a two fingers to Rooney from the manager, personally. You know about ambition and all that Wazza made a fuss about with his contract

No it isn't that far fetched and it might be true. Doubt it though.
For some reason though some fans refuse to believe that such things are even a possibility.
If Ferguson said Rooney was injured when he wasn't really injured why would Rooney just sit there quietly and go along with it, When he was injured during the contract saga he came out and said his ankle was fine. No reason why he wouldn't do the same now.
Elvis I know Rooney blows hot and cold, but he's still very valuable to this team and I'd hope he would spend his best years at United

It is a good point. both players have made their name operating in the same space that Rooney liked to operate in. RVP doesn't tend to drop as deep, but still has played the no.10 role for most of his career.
