Gerrard's goal ends our unbeaten run in the 27th game of the season, 1-0 to Liverpool at Highbury and on the eve of the CL final against Real Madrid. Only need one more point to win the league.

A tense final where Madrid created the better chances, van Nistelrooy shot wide and forced a save from Boruc either side of the break. Fabregas sent a low drive flying just off target and van Nistelrooy spurned another chance. In the end Henry played the ball into space for Rosicky to blast home from 20 yards and win us the Champions League with 10 minutes left. There was still time for Boruc to save well from Reyes and Ronaldo to waste surely their best chance, failing to connect properly with van Nistelrooy's pass and dinking the shot into the goalkeeper.

And we complete the treble with a 3-2 win at Charlton Hasselbaink scored more goals against us than van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo combined Hleb, van Persie and Park on target for us.

Henry scores 6 past a regenerated Oliver Kahn as we beat Portsmouth 7-1. He gets a match rating of 9. For 6 goals. 9. Hleb with the other one before Lualua spoiled the party with a header.

Unrealistic

Shut your trap. Nothing unrealistic about world class players scoring #golazos

Wanted something different and a bit more challenging, so opted for Deportivo in a mainly Spanish league with the three big Portuguese teams. Based on the quality of the squad, staying up is a realistic aim.

Bodipo gets us off the mark but Carmelo levels as we open the season with a 1-1 draw at Levante.

Barca at home next and Estoyanoff sets up Riki to bundle in. Barca's quality shows as Gudjohnsen fires in off the post, but we have the best chance to win it, Valdes saving from Riki. Good result, another 1-1.

On the road and we have the chances to beat Sporting Lisbon, but Bodipo and Riki miss the target, before Ricardo makes saves from Riki and Valeron. Auoate still had to save from Caneira to get us the point.

We host Atletico next, with both sides hitting the bar early on through Mista and Arizmendi. The standout player was Valeron who dictated play and scored the only goal with a lovely chipped finish. His first of the season and Depor's first win.

At the Bernabeu and Estoyanoff sets up another goal, this time putting it on a plate for Bodipo. Madrid are poor, Casillas has to make a string of saves and barring a Beckham free kick off the post they didn't threaten. Great 1-0 victory.

Think there were about 100 comments by other people originally, but the receding popularity of PES has just left me posting about my various ML exploits every now and then.

2011 was the year of my favourite ML adventure.

2009 on PS2 was all about Become a Legend.

Tell us about it

As if I bought PES on PS2 after PES 6

Too much to recall boy.

From ML '11 the real players I remember in my team were Carrol, Sanogo, Aurier, Wijnaldum and Hamsik as well as Veron & Henry regens.

I'm sure you're familiar with the youth AM called Shimizu. That guy was quality.

Become a legend actually felt sort of realistic in terms of how I really had to work my way to the top.

It was great to experience my player developing so well, and I'm glad that patience was required.

Become a Legend and Be a Pro had promise as game modes but never really worked out. Think PES was arguably better, although FIFA did improve, but there were modes I found more fun in both games.

Our first loss of the season at home to Sevilla. Riki cancels out Kanoute's early header, but Poulsen earns them a 2-1 win.

We get back on track with a 2-0 win over Espanyol. Arizmendi opens the scoring, before Riki brilliantly guides in a header.

Bodipo scores the only goal to get us another win, this time away at Benfica. Aouate kept out Jorge to seal the points. Valencia visit next and Arizmendi heads us in front. It doesn't last long as Villa gets a header of his own. Bodipo has our best chances but it ends 1-1.

Our cup run begins in the worst possible fashion at Villarreal. Forlan volleys them into the lead from 25 yards after poor play from us and Marcos makes it 2-0. Hoping for better in the return leg.

Away at Getafe and after a quiet opening Rodriguez hits the post and Estoyanoff comes close. Verdu hits the post and Riki scores the rebound, before Verdu gets one of his own. Taborda is denied by the keeper as we run out comfortable 2-0 winners.

Athletic Bilbao up next. After Sergio, Bodipo and Estoyanoff threatened, Yeste took his chance clinically to put them ahead. It was arguably our best performance yet and eventually Riki salvaged a draw. Valeron came on and could've won it but for Aranzubia saving. 1-1.

Away at Porto who go ahead instantly through Lucho Gonzalez. Just before half time Sergio puts a free kick into the box and Bodipo frees himself to head us level. Meireles has a header saved by Munua and Adriano shoots wide as we hang on for the draw.

A double header against Villarreal: first the second leg of the cup tie ends in a 0-0 draw, sending us out. A league fixture next, and Jose Mari heads in the opener. Pires and Sergio have chances but the visitors run out 1-0 winners.

Cristian's been a bit-part player so far this season, but he steals us a late winner at Zaragoza.

Betis is the last game before the transfer window. Rivera hits the post for them and it looks like ending goalless, but Cristian comes on and wins a penalty which he converts himself. 1-0 and we're fourth after 15 games, only behind Barca, Valencia and Madrid.

Somehow managed to sign Ribery in the transfer window, swapped him for Antonio Tomas, yet couldn't get Braafheid or Raul Garcia Let Tabordo go.

Ribery instantly regrets his decision as we lose at home to lowly Levante through Reggi's header.

Away at Barca where we look sharp, Valeron and Ribery testing Valdes, but Barca up their game second half and Gudjohnsen heads the winner.

Ribery stars in the next game, leading the counter to set up Bodipo for an early goal, but it's not long before Paredes makes it 1-1. Both sides have chances but it's substitute Valeron who makes he difference late on, finding Riki who turns and makes it 2-1.
