Liverpool at home. They should've had Pennant sent off in the first half, Dudek saved from Henry with the best chance. 0-0.
Away at City, we've got to win these sort of games to keep up with the leaders. Hamann had other ideas, unleashing a vicious shot from over 30 yards which flew past Lehmann. We got back in the game before the break, Adebayor won possession from Distin and set up Ljungberg to score. Sinclair had a shot saved in the second half, and hit the post with the rebound. Isaksson made vital saves from Gilberto, Adebayor and Henry who was brought off the bench. However, in injury time another sub, Rosicky sent in a corner and our final sub, Baptista, powered in a header to win it 2-1.
First leg of the cup semi final at Old Trafford. Rooney put them in front after Lehmann made a save, putting the ball into the empty net. Van der Sar saved from van Persie but Brown rushed in to block the rebound. Van der Sar made a couple more good saves from Fabregas and we lost 1-0, our first loss of the season in any competition.
0-0 draw with Chelsea. Henry nearly cut it back to van Persie but it was well defended and Henry just strayed offside before he put the ball in the net. Shevchenko blasted a shot across goal which Lehmann tipped away and Drogba put a chance wide in the second half. Unbeaten but down to 4th, 11 points behind Chelsea. TOO MANY DRAWS.
Away at Fulham and we took the lead early on, Clichy's cross went all the way to the back post and Walcott scored his first Arsenal goal () with a tidy volley. Malbranque had a header blocked by Lahm and John put the ball wide. McBride got them back in the game with a volley of his own. Clichy fired over when a striker would've scored and Rosicky twice had powerful shots saved by Niemi. Henry came off the bench and duly found his way past the defence and keeper to put us ahead, 2-1. It took a last gasp save by Poom to keep out John after Toure's poor header but we got the win.

Two away games. First West Ham where Harewood's finishing is dreadful. Henry dribbles along and finds Rosicky who scores. Henry hits a long shot which is saved by green, as is van Persie's follow up. 1-0 win.
Away at Everton and Adebayor puts us ahead. Cahill's shot is veering wide but it hits Toure and falls to Johnson who puts it in. Adebayor smashes us back in front in the second half but Carsley hits a similar goal to bring Everton level again. Ljungberg gets away in the final minute but shoots wide. 2-2.
I don't know about anyone else but I'm on the edge of my seat!
What PES are you playing?
I tried the new one, has some good things about it but went back to '13, which for me, is the best PES/football game made so far.
I'm using Malaga, have Bendtner and Baptista upfront, got Bendtner just for the craic, but he's turned in to a beast!! Signed Callehon in the Jan window, still have Isco, also got Kallstrom and Romaric in.
Drew Arsenal in the first round of the CL, Bendter will show them!!
Top of the league by 8 points, on Top Player, but Madrid and Barca are threatning by keep winning every game
decided to do the Spanish league on PES13 as they have all the proper teams and every stadium
Thinking of doing the Italian league after, never tried that one
I'm playing PES 6 Definitely the most playable football game. Even though it's not got 360 degree dribbling and not many skill moves it seems super-realistic.
I did enjoy 2013, didn't play it enough. The fact I wanted to play Bundesliga with Schalke meant I played more FIFA 13. Had some epic matches with 1man though, still remember that 35 yard Guardado rocket against him Enjoyed the PES 2014 demo but I doubt I'll get it now, doesn't quite seem there yet. Can't wait to see what they can do on next-gen.
Baptista's had a decent impact for me on PES 6, especially off the bench. Used Romaric on 2013 a few times as Zaragoza, tidy player.
Home leg of the cup semi against United. Already 1-0 down on aggregate and Park makes it 2-0. Not sure if we needed 2 or 3 goals due to away goals, but we went for it. Van der Sar made saves from Rosicky, then Ljungberg after Ferdinand had blocked his first chance. Poom made a good save from Giggs saved, Smith's header was stopped by Eboue and Poomed got in the way of Park.
We smashed them in the second half but van der Sar was on fire, making saves from Walcott, Adebayor and Flamini. He made another save from Adebayor but the striker put the rebound in to get us back in the game. Van der Sar made another save from Walcott but kept his best for last, tipping Adebayor's shot away. Lost 2-1 on aggregate.
We bottled it away at Portsmouth earlier in the season, giving up a 2-0 lead in a great game. No such luck for them this time. Adebayor shimmied and fired in the first. O'Neil's shot was saved and Hleb played in Adebayor for a second. Hleb got one of his own in the second half, as did Diaby coming off the bench. Fabregas' cutting ball set up Adebayor for his hat-trick to complete a 5-0 victory.
Away at United in the league. Eboue burst through their defence early on but it was a defender's finish, way over the bar. Carrick volleyed wide and van der Sar saved from Henry. Brown fouled Hleb in the box and a penalty was given, perhaps slightly soft, but Henry put us ahead. Van Persie then doubled the advantage after some good control opened up a chance. He could've made it three but van der Sar made a double save. Even at 2-0 down United's best second half chance came from a Toure header towards his own goal, parried by Lehmann. Henry nearly got another late on but a 2-0 win draws us closer to United who are 2nd, we're probably not going to win the league.
United did wrap up our league's D1 Cup.
I've gone back to 2013 as well.
Recently got Beyond Two Souls and Tomb Raider though, so I'll stop in the next couple of weeks.
I will get Beyond soon. The Last of Us as well.
You haven't played The Last of Us
No. Spoil it and I will end your being.
Don't worry, I wouldn't spoil it to my worst enemy.
Not that you fall under that bracket anyway
Villa at home. Gilberto's shot was saved and from the corner Henry pushed the ball over the line with a scrappy finish. He added a second not long later with a left-footed finish off the post. Then van Persie played it to him and he completed his hat-trick with a great first time finish, high into the net in the 27th minute. He nearly got another two minutes later but his bicycle kick flew narrowly over and he couldn't get a fourth in the second half either. Just the 3-0.
Three games left and we're out of the title race. Chelsea only need one more point to make sure of it. If we do well we could leapfrog United to get 2nd.
Got the first of those wins against Bolton. Van Persie hit the post, we went in front when Adebayor found Gilberto in a good position to fire home. Van Persie's cross was put over the bar by Henry and they equalised when Anelka's shot, saved by Almunia, trickled towards the line and the keeper and Lahm both slid in, the defender scoring an own goal. Thankfully we went back in front with an Adebayor goal. 2-1.
Penultimate game at Blackburn. Friedel kept us out in the first half, saving from Gilberto and making a double save from Henry. He made a good stop from van Persie in the second half and then two great passes from van Persie and Ljungberg cut the defence apart but Henry shot wide from close range. With just minutes remaining Kane fouled Henry who was bearing down on goal, the defender was sent off and Henry scored the penalty. 1-0. Chelsea have already sealed the league with 69 points, United move back ahead of us on goals scored, we're both on 60 points with +26 goal difference 2nd place means something better in Europe.
Final game at Wigan, we need to better United's result or win by more goals than them to beat them to 2nd. McCulloch's early shot hit the bar as they started well but Eboue ran a long way and set up Gilberto to put us 1-0 up at the break. After the break Valencia's great cross meant McCulloch couldn't miss from 2 yards. Kirkland made a save from van Persie, but eventually we went back ahead, Henry didn't panic and fired in. Didn't know the United score so went for more goals, brought on Baptista and Kirkland rushed out to keep him from scoring. Our other sub Adebayor worked his way into a shooting position and fired in to make it 3-1. Gilberto nearly made it 4-1, and from the resulting Fabregas corner Adebayor did make it 4-1. United only beat Boro 1-0, meaning:
Chelsea 70
Arsenal 63 (+29)
Man United 63 (+27)
Liverpool 54
Newcastle 46
Man City 41
So, Lampard is named the best overall player, Henry tops the scoring charts with 21 ahead of Lampard and Owen with 15 (Adebayor with 10 and van Persie 5 our next best). Van Persie with 6 assists, not far off Giggs and Lennon with 9.
We only lost one league game all season but drew too many, 12 in all. Ended up scoring plenty, 48. Only Inter and Chelsea conceded less than our 19 in all 4 leagues. Barca beat Real and Valencia to their league, Inter and Bayern winning the others.
