Arsenal vs. Newcastle in the CL group. Senderos sent off for bringing down Owen but he did get the ball. Solano's free kick saved by Stekelenburg.
Rosicky troubled given a couple of times and Martins wasted their best chance. Didn't create much with 10 men, 0-0.
Villa vs. Arsenal. Not many chances as we dominated play. Maxwell's long shot saved in the first half.
McCann played it up to Hendrie who chested it, turned and curled a half-volley in off the right post from the edge of the box. Adebayor played it onto Henry who shot too close to the keeper with our best chance. Didn't create enough, 1-0.
Liverpool vs. Arsenal in the penultimate group game. It fell to Gerrard who wasted his chance early on. Fabregas played in Baptista but he was denied by Dudek, Adebayor's rebound blocked. Alonso fouled Rosicky as he was about to pull the trigger on the right side of the box for a penalty. Baptista stepped up by Dudek flew to the top right to make a save.
Into the second half and Zenden crossed low for Bellamy to strike it back across the keeper and give them the lead. Henry replaced Baptista and instantly blitzed Carragher, ran across the box and tucked it under Dudek. He could've won it but the keeper saved his next effort. Gilberto bossed it all game, he brought down Bellamy late on and was shown a red, no worse than Alonso's foul on Rosicky which got a yellow. 1-1.
At home to West Ham. Stekelenburg got in the way of Benayoun's shot. Ljungberg and Aguero caused the Hammers trouble but couldn't score. Ashton's header was cleared off the line by Eboue.
Ljungberg had a shot saved and Bowyer hit the post with a free kick, 0-0. Henry could've made a difference but I want him fit for the final CL game.
PSV vs. Arsenal in the final group game. Flamini fired wide. Simons had a volley saved which led to Arouna Kone heading in from the corner. Henry had an effort deflected wide and Fabregas' corner went in towards Adebayor who forced a Salcido own goal.
Henry and Borowski were the main threats in the second half. Henry hit them on the counter, saw his first shot saved and his second, a goal 9 times out of 10, go wide. Borowski hit the post as it finished 1-1.
Of course, Newcastle beat Liverpool which means the table finishes:
Newcastle 9
Liverpool 8
Arsenal 7
PSV 6
Think that means we're in the Europa League (Masters Cup) instead of the CL.
Away at Blackburn in the league. Henry and Gilberto tested Fridel. The defence couldn't get near Henry was nearly scored twice. Ljungberg's ball was cleared from danger. Henry robbed it off Matteo and scored the opener. Khizanishvili forced the first save from Stekelenburg.
Rosicky long shot early in the second half was tipped away then Pedersen equalised with only their second decent chance. Henry had to come off. They had lots of possession from then on but didn't get in our box. Reid clearly fouled Gilberto but got away with it. 1-1.
After a great start that's 7 without a win in all competitions while still having the best defensive record in the league and in Europe. Facking come on.
Arsenal vs. Newcastle. Need to win even at this stage of the season. Henry put our first chance over, then shot just wide. Milner tested Stekelenburg and Hleb forced Given into action. Henry and Flamini had shots blocked.
Clichy ran a long way but couldn't get a decent effort in, but a smooth move ended in Flamini finding Adebayor who scored the opener. Kompany saw red for bringing down Martins and Duff hit the bar from the free kick. We held on for a good 1-0 win.
Away to top of the league Chelsea. We were the better team but not many chances for either side. Rosicky's shot deflected wide, van Persie meeting the ball but getting no connection on his header. Henry coming close in the second half. 0-0.
Away at Blackburn in the first leg of the cup. Baptista put a chance but made up for it with a bullet header from Fabregas' corner.
Baptista stretched to get to Walcott's cross but put the ball over the bar. Ribery with some nice dribbling to set up Fabregas to make it 2-0. Aguero came off the bench and scored a confident goal to make it 3-0.
1-0 win at Celtic, the goal form an unlikely source. Gallas stole it from Nakamura in the middle, beat two defenders and the goalkeeper and scored. Not amazing defending but it was a great run. Miller forced a save.
Comfortable second half, Henry came closest with a header off the bar.
Arsenal vs. Everton. Stekelnburg kept out a van der Meyde volley early on and good team play in attack saw van Persie, Ljungberg and Fabregas combine, ending with van Persie's shot from outside the box curling into the bottom right corner.
Cahill's shot was saved brilliantly by Stekelenburg and Senderos cleared. Henry saved was denied by Howard but not for long as his header from van Persie's corner made it 2-0. Van Persie nearly got a stunning second but Howard flew to his right to keep out a long-range strike that was swerving away into the top corner. Great result.
0-0 at Fulham. Bore draw.
Home leg of the cup against Blackburn, already leading 3-0 from the away leg. Adebayor's early header was saved on the line but had a hand in the opening goal, setting up Aguero to shoot in off the post. Just two minutes later Aguero got his second, a perfectly weighted chip.
Theo's still not scored for us but he came close with a shot saved by Friedel. Clichy's pass across the box wasn't cut out and Aguero had a simple finish to complete his hat-trick 6-0 on aggregate
I'm getting all the good Man City players before Man City
At Spurs for the NLD. Rosicky tried something different from a corner and Eboue's volley from distance whizzed just over the bar. Henry's shot was tipped around the post by Robinson and a scrappy routine saw Ribery and Ljungberg have shots blocked but Hleb reacted to score what proved to be the only goal. Subs with our best second half chances, van Persie's low effort skimmed wide and Aguero went for another heroic chip, just the wrong side of the post.
6 league games without a goal for Henry, that must be a record
Three big games before the break, two in the league. First at home to United. Van Persie played it into the box, Henry stole it from Vidic and somehow got the other side of Brown and van der Sar to put it into the empty net. Smith wasted a great chance for them and Giggs' shot was brilliantly blocked by Rosicky. Ronaldo took a free kick from 30 yards which crashed down off the bar, bounced on the line and went in off Stekelenburg's hand, it was given as an own goal. Ronaldo headed against the bar and got to the rebound only to head against the bar again.
Second half saw Toure make a great tackle on Smith and Henry put a great late chance just wide. Rosicky did a chest pass in that game so I don't know what EA are using the power of PS4 for. 1-1.

Last game before the transfer window is the first leg of the cup quarter final against Spurs.
Mido heads in Routledge's cross to put them in front. Nasri, Aguero and Henry all come close but can't get the equaliser.
Aguero wasted a free header at an open goal but we made changes and the two subs Fabregas and Ljungberg instantly combined to feed Henry whose low shot flashed across Robinson into the corner. 1-1, not a bad result but they scored with their only chance.

Just did one of these in free training Just a matter of time before it happens in a match now
Signed Borowski to add a bit more power to midfield with Gilberto getting on.
Away at Bolton in the first game back. Gardner put a great chance wide and we got away without conceding when the ref blew just as Anelka fired the ball into the net.
Henry had a shot well blocked but Fabregas opened the scoring for us and van Persie set him up for a simple second, 2-0 the result.
Second leg of the cup, going into it at 1-1. Henry's close range shot saved by Robinson and he fired over in the second half but he found Fabregas who ran into space and planted a shot past the keeper. 1-0, 2-1 on aggregate. Nice.
