At home to Wigan, Walcott set up Henry to strike the opener into the top corner. Kirkland saved from Henry and Ben Arfa volleyed just for them before Henry sealed it on the counter, 2-0.

United in the second leg of the cup. Some early chances, with Curci saving from Carrick and van der Sar twice keeping out Henry. United were decent, Richardson striking the outside of the, but late on Rosicky burst forward and fired in from the edge of the box. Ljungberg had time and space to make it 2-0 in injury time, 3-1 on aggregate.

Away at Man City. Isaksson saved brilliantly from Farfan and Samaras headed just wide. Moutinho set up Baptista for the first before the break and after it Isaksson made another great save from Farfan but Baptista tapped in. Van Persie came on to make it 3-0 but Baptista was denied his hat-trick.

Great first leg against Inter. Henry danced through and nonchalantly finished, but Solari crossed and Lehmann couldn't keep out Crespo's shot. We went straight back in front, Lahm playing in Henry to score and van Persie's through ball allowed Rosicky to guide in another. Solari headed in Zanetti's corner to pull one back and Toldo saved from Henry but van Persie set up Rosicky again to make it 4-2.

Charlton in the league and Ljungberg set up Moutinho for an easy opener. Lehmann saved from Bent in the first half but in the second Bent connected with Reid's cross to head in an equaliser. Myhre made amazing saves from Henry's free kick and Hleb's shot but in injury time Walcott squared for Denilson to grab a winner, 2-1.

Away at Inter. After Lehmann saved from Crespo, Dacourt sent Hleb flying and Henry made it 1-0 from the spot. Toldo twice made saves from him but after the break Rosicky set him up to make it 2-0. Ibrahimovic had a shot stopped but it came back to him to score. Ljungberg came on and the defence couldn't handle him, Toldo made a save and Rosicky tapped in. Van Persie and Ibrahimovic came close again but it ended 3-1, 7=3 on aggregate and we're in the final

Chelsea in the cup final. We were dominant in possession and territory but didn't create much and in the second half Lampard went through and scored. We finally created the opening we needed and Henry turned in the box and fired in. Robben had a chance but Lehmann saved well and it went to extra time, then penalties.

The penalties rivalled United-Sunderland in terms of quality. Lehmann kept out Carter, Cole and Lampard, while Ljungberg and Gilberto had their efforts saved by Cech. Van Persie had a chance to win it but he hit the post. It went to sudden death, Essien blazed over and Moutinho won it with a penalty in off the post, 3-2

Lampard named the best player, Drogba the top scorer. Henry our best with 4.

A tense game. Shevchenko and Hleb were off target, Lehmann saved from Joe Cole and Cech kept out van Persie's shot. Lehmann saved from Shevchenko and we went into the break at 0-0.

Early in the second half Shevchenko put in a corner, the marking was non-existent and Drogba had a simple header to give them the lead. Unfortunately we couldn't create anything, Lehmann closed down Shevchenko to keep it at 1-0 late on and that's how it ended. We win the cup, Chelsea win the Champions League. Next league game is against them too.

Makelele the best player, Henry the top scorer with 10. Henry should've got best player, the next top scorers were Drogba and Park Ji-Sung with 4. Barca won the Europa League.

Much better game, and performance, in the league. Drogba wasted the first chance, Cech parried Henry's shot to Ljungberg whose header was blocked. Lehmann saved from Ballack and Cech kept out Adebayor and van Persie.

Robben shot wide in the second half and Henry hit the bar, before a great Ljungberg pass played him through to finish. 1-0.

At home to bottom of the league Everton who took the lead with a Kilbane header. Howard saved from Henry but we weren't creating. A change of formation saw Henry skip through and score twice to turn it around before half time. Ljungberg added another after the break, Henry and van der Meyde had shots saved and Hleb hit the post. 3-1.

Away at Bolton in the final game, Jaaskelainen kept out Rosicky's shot and it ended 0-0.

So despite getting 3 more points than last season we finish one place lower.

Lampard named best player again, Henry top scorer again with 18. Others for us include Ljungberg with 8, Baptista and Park with 5 each, somehow ahead of van Persie with 4 and Adebayor with 3.

Ljungberg the most assists for us with 5, Henry 4, Adebayor and Walcott with 3. Nowhere near Zenden's 10.

Real, Milan and Bayern won the other leagues.

Signed Benzema ahead of the first friendly against Lazio. Park helped in Walcott's cross, Firmani levelled. Farfan shot wide, Moutinho's effort was saved and Rosicky found Benzema who fired in a winner. 2-1.

Next friendly against Juventus. Boruc saved for Giannichedda before Ljungberg scored on the counter, his initial shot was saved by Buffon but it hit him and went in. Buffon kept out Henry and Giannichedda nearly equalised but Adebayor set up Ljungberg for his second.

Beat Marseille 1-0 in a friendly. Benzema with the early goal and the keeper had to keep out a van Persie free kick and help a Fabregas shot onto the post.

Signed Metzelder just to add defensive depth and accepted an offer for Lauren which sees David Silva join us from Valencia.

Metzelder didn't have a great debut against Zaragoza, Ponzio beat him and fired in a stunner. Moutinho fed Henry who equalised, Ewerthon put them back in front and Rosicky set up Flamini to bring us level again. Van Persie was sent off and both sides had chances to win it but it ended 2-2

First game of the season against Celtic and Marshall saved brilliantly from van Persie before Boruc saved Caldwell's volley. It looked to be heading for a draw but Metzelder led a counter attack and Fabregas did well to put it on a plate for Adebayor. Lahm capped a great performance with a goal of his own, his first for us, to make it 2-0 before Riordan pulled one back. 2-1.

Spurs in the first CL qualifier. Henry hit the bar then set up Park for the opener. Robinson saved from Henry and Rosicky, then the pendulum swung. Keane headed against the bar, then Jenas headed in with their next attempt. Boruc saved from Murphy and Ghaly hit the bar, then Berbatov swept the ball home. We battled back, Henry equalising. Van Persie came close, then in the 90th minute Moutinho found Henry to get a winner. 3-2

Away at Villa and Adebayor headed us in front from Park's cross before getting on the end of Rosicky's pass to make it 2-0. Farfan nearly scored, Hendrie got one for them and Silva hit the bar on his debut for us. 2-1.

Another CL qualifier at Roma. Hleb's header was blocked on the line by Panucci and Boruc kept out Montella. In the end Roma thanked Doni for getting them the draw, he saved from Fabregas and in the final minutes he saved Adebayor's header and tipped the rebound onto the bar to keep it at 0-0.

Great game at Chelsea. We put them under early pressure from corners and Walcott forced Cech into some saves. A great move saw van Persie play in Ljungberg to put us ahead. Chelsea had a good spell, Drogba's shot saved and Shevchenko heading them level from the resulting corner. Henry hit the bar and from a corner of our own Rosicky found an unmarked Walcott who headed in. Walcott then ran through on the counter and scored with a composed finish. There was still time for Farfan to have a shot saved and Benzema to head in another Rosicky corner to make it 4-1

Third CL qualifier against West Ham. Harewood scored from distance, Henry equalised on the counter and it finished 1-1.

Newcastle in the league, Metzelder let Emre through to score. Given saved Henry's free kick brilliantly, before Ljungberg set up Hleb to equalise. Looked like Newcastle had stolen a win with their only two chances as Dyer headed in after more poor defending, but Gilberto found Park who kept his cool to make it 2-2.

Midway through the third season now. Still unbeaten after 21 of 30 league games, 8 points ahead of Chelsea and United.

We're 3-0 up after the first leg of the cup semi-final against Spurs.

We came through the CL qualifying group and then won the group stage, going through with Barca. Was weird to have two groups in a row. Just beat Milan 1-0 with an Henry goal on aggregate to reach the semi-final against Inter.

Henry becomes the first player to play 100 games (including friendlies for some reason) in this ML in a 1-0 win over Rangers. Flamini got the goal. Henry's got 71 goals and 11 assists, only Villa has more goals for any club in that time.

Henry's only got 5 in the league so far this season, our top scorers and Adebayor and Walcott with 7 each (somehow).

Ever closer to the title, Henry with a perfect hat-trick and van Persie with a double as we beat Blackburn 5-0.

Away leg of the semi-final against Inter we're on the back foot as Adriano heads them in front, but two goal from an identical position from Rosicky turn it around, the first fired in at the near post, the second curled into the far corner. Van Persie thundered in a third and Henry made it 4-1.

Maicon's own goal sends us through to the CL final 5-1 on aggregate.

United in the cup final, and Eboue's low cross is blasted in by Henry in the second minute. United pressure us but Rosicky plays in van Persie who clinically makes it 2-0. Rooney's persistence pays off and he gets one back but Henry sends sub Adebayor in on goal to finish it late on. Jubilant scenes as Lahm holds Adebayor aloft on his shoulders and Henry lifts the cup Van Persie the top scorer with 5.
