Full statement up in the OP now, fair play to Chelsea for updating us all on the situation

United fans stop deluding yourselves. This is more likely media tripe rather than a stroke of genius by your club. I get the need to make out like your club is run by a bunch of Einsteins but there are more likely reasons why this is being reported in the media.

United did not ask about Mata, Luiz or any player so #cfc astonished and angry to see their names linked to the deal.

I wonder if Rooney will be booed when he comes back with Chelsea in August?

I'm now liking United's strategy here, it's basically "You wanna feck with us? Bring it."
=====================================

I’m glad you’ve got the entire situation sorted in your head and United are coming out very well.

You’ve interpreted this in a very favourable way for your team but how can we possibly know the full story at this stage or possibly ever?

Can't see it on CFC website

Arab

It was obvious bollox as I stated over an hour ago.

When are people gonna learn to stop believing the media for goodness sake.

Rooney has said nothing at all on all this so the media have zero choice but to just make stuff up

So why are CFC furious with United?

If they don't want to give mata I would happily take Oscar or Hazard

Telegraph journalists reporting the full bid for Rooney was only £20m, think it's understood why it was rejected now.

When does Jose's press conference start? Also is it on SSN?

posted on 17/7/13

That's nowhere near the £60m that some Utd fans think we'll bid for Rooney.

this

Mata has been consistantly linked with a move away from Stamford bridge this Summer so it was a no brainer that they included him in their pure guesswork

bite their hand off for Mata, Luiz cant defend so no thanks

Mr Chelsea, Rooney isn't worth that at all Think some United fans are very very optimistic. He will go for £30m, personally it's so awful that Rooney's career with us is ending like this. We won't look back at the good times with him because of his impending exit from the club.

Like UR Macca said the meeja will never let the truth get in the way of a few sales - besides which this sort of thing is purely players agents wet dreams - feck 'em all I say

posted on 17/7/13

If the opening bid was in fact 20m, It wouldnt be that ludicrous to suggest the two clubs can meet at the £30m mark.

posted on 17/7/13

Mata, Hazard or Oscar will be going nowhere, Mourinho has already said we will not be selling players and that he is delighted to have five players in to those three positions as he wants they to ‘play with intensity’. We have also brought in Schurrle to supplement this area so selling established players getting better all the time makes no sense.
