But if we assume that's correct (and I don't know, because I'm not in Sydney), then someone, somewhere is not telling the truth. OMG SMH etc

he is delighted to have five players in to those three positions as he wants they to ‘play with intensity’.

You mean Chelsea will only be defending for 80 minutes under his management this time around?

posted on 17/7/13

Chelsea are gutted but is it at United? Where does it say they are mad at United? They are mad at whoever cooked up the story and its more likely to be the media than United.

Funny how some of you are jumping onto the delusion bandwagon and looking like you will accept anything that makes United look good no matter how deluded it makes you look.

Given his fitness problems, his salary, his public outburst, likely hood he’ll hand in a written transfer request and I think likely he is keen on Chelsea I can’t see his fee being more than about £25 million, personally I think somewhere between £21 million and the very most £28 million.

At least Chelsea are speaking, United's twitter account is just posting pics of fecking Sydney Would be nice if they talked to the fans about Wazza.

Yes but enough about Steven Gerrard, we are discussing Wayne Rooney.

Mata, Hazard or Oscar will be going nowhere, Mourinho has already said we will not be selling players

Moyes has stated time and time again United won't be selling Rooney too

Rooney is worth 40 mill at least, Torres 50 million, carroll 35 million...

How is Rooney worth less than both, I put 40 mill to be fair as 65 Million seems a bit too much

posted on 17/7/13

Bluedroog dont be silly. He has 12 million twitter followers, that's 25m right there. 6 letters in his name and with shirt printing thats 15 quid on top of the £60 for the shirt x 1 million sales. That's 75m right there. 50m for his other marketability. Plus he's got years left in him, that's another 50m. 200m should do it

Moyes has also stated that Rooney will be second fiddle to RVP. Terrible error IMO or tactics to get him out without risking a fans backlash.

Don't know why that's weird, RVP is the superior striker. Rooney was benched many times last season as RVP was favoured more. I also notice hardly anyone using "I want to be able to play the two of them" quote. Just selection of quotes to make a headline.

Now come on, you know there is ‘not selling players’ and ‘not selling players’……..

posted on 17/7/13

Well none of us know anything really but from what I have read over the past few days our dealings under Woodward do seem very different.

Bidding on a player (Cesc) neither the club want to sell or player wants to leave and supposedly leaking misinformed info about Chelsea offering their top players in exchange for Rooney. I may be completely wrong but both of these bits of info that have come out sound like useless PR stunts that are purely trying to convince fans we are in for top players without actually having any chance of getting either. I hope I'm wrong.

mata plus 10mil for rooooooneh, want to know why this is bullocks because it would have been taken, fergie would have urged moyes and board to accept

No he didn't, his comments have been mis-represented by the media (shock horror )

He actually said that he wants them to play together and that we can't let him go because if anything happened to RvP we would be heavily reliant on him.

Why do people a) believe the media. b) chat utter bollòcks.

Although I do not believe for a minute moyes meant that in the way it came out, I absolutely agree.

If Moyes really does want Rooney to stay that is hardly gonna help and to be frank, if Rooney is on the verge of leaving, I can't see how that comment would have helped that either

Bit of a baffling comment from Moyes if we think about it.

One blatant thing that everyone seems to be missing is this

If Wayne Rooney does indeed still definately want to leave Old Trafford and bothe he and the club have accepted that situation, then why in God's earth would Rooney be remotely bothered about his future role in the team and come out and be apparantly angry and upset? It makes no sense

For me, he would only be angry about it if he did in fact intend to stay

posted on 17/7/13

Chelsea is still a joke of a club though

They must think were stupid enough to accept anything less than what he's worth.

If they dont offer anything above 35M we will just make him rot in the reserves, no biggy.

correct in my opinion although I do wish Moyes had chosen his words a little moire carefully

Correct me if I'm wrong too but wasn't the official line that Rooney was angry and confused by the media's interpretation rather than with Moyes directly?

==================

So Rooney has been left and confused having carefully negotiated an article in the Daily Star?

posted on 17/7/13

I think the angry and confused comment is more to do with his ego being dented. He has had plenty of time to publicly speak out about his desire to continue at United and work for the team but he hasn't.

He is second to RVP, it's a simple fact, something he needs to understand because he clearly didn't until Moyes said so.

If Chelsea had offered Mata in any form, United would have at lest considered the offer. This is United trying to stir the pot. If Mata was for sale, I know for a fact we would be in for him (Barça that is).
