Darren
What do you think about the Vermaelen deal?

Can't say I'm happy if it's true. Never really rated him.

I don't know how much more the country can take without tensions totally boiling over. This is one attack too many I feel.

There is a good defender in him but he just has one of the worst concentration levels I have seen in any defender. He does switch off a few too many times in a game. Regardless, I would be totally furious if we sold him to a premier league rival!

That is the 2nd big attack they have orchestrated in the past 12 months here. It is just obvious now that our security bodies can't do enough to protect us. It was clear that there would be an attack in the past few days with the British consulate in Mombasa being emptied obviously after getting some solid intel of an imminent attack!

That's always been the reason I've never really been a fan. On his day he's put in some superb performances for Arsenal. But those days don't seem to be very often and his positioning looks suspect - plus he's injury prone. We'll have to wait and see how things pan out

Fack, I didn't realise you lived there. Keep safe mate.

Damn, what is happening to Kenya is a damn shame.

I spent seven consecutive summers estivating in Kenya as a teenager; very different times.

Keep Calm, Carry on and make some ugali

I guess the NLD the season before was the last straw for Wenger. He was absolutely atrocious and put in Bale in behind him countless times. He hasn't really had a look in since.

I actually live in the capital-Nairobi and the latest attacks happen in the Coastal region but still it is in the same country. The worst bit is it is hard for the government to ask a foreign body like the FBI to help in the investigations because the foreign policy is pretty fuçked up and they have pssed off pretty much the whole Western bloke of countries. Some idiots in the government have even gone as far as saying the stuff that has been happening in the country over the past one year has been the workings of Western nations trying to destabilize the country. Common song sung by all the African despots. I am so pssed!!

Yes it was, the revelations after the attack were something straight out of a comedy script! Not one assailant was arrested and the building itself was brought down by the security personnel that was sent there to end the siege to cover up the looting that they did in the mall! Absolutely bizarre!!

Shocking.

The real truth though is that these attacks are extremely difficult to prevent without major resources, and even then it's an uphill struggle.

True, that is why I always say that as much as I think people give our security bodies too much unwarranted stick they simply aren't equipped/experienced enough to deal with the current situation. The smartest move now would be to involve the FBI now. I really don't know whether that will happen.

I have been thinking about the whole Cesc episode and I was in stitches!!
1st of all, they always said Cesc would have to leave Arsenal and join Barca to fulfill his potential. Barca never played him in his best position and he has wasted the past 3 years. He would have fulfilled his potential at Arsenal playing his best position and with the responsibility he had here!
2. The likes of Pique and Xavi those classless sçum after even putting on a Barca jersey on him when he was contracted to Arsenal, making comments about Cesc suffering, having Barca DNA etc. Pique was the first one to announce the deal of him leaving to the world and Xavi now thinks "it is a good move for Cesc"
3. Cesc was going back home Whistled and scapegoated the whole time he was there. He was loved like no other player I have ever seen loved at Arsenal in my lifetime!
4. He wanted to play for his idol Pep Guardiola Pep left after one year after his most difficult season at Barca

I know I sound a bit spiteful but the whole thing is just too funny.

The Cesc saga is a truly embarrassing tbf.

Strangely, i do somewhat agree with Wenger in opting not to resign him.

posted on 16/6/14

But as i have said, Rakitic, - who is a fine player in his own right- to me is not a Barca player and certainly not better than Cesc.

The Koke canards are strong but certain sources say it is BS. Anyway, i would like to be ring but it'd be interesting to see where Rakitic plays!

That is obvious but I do feel as classless as it was to release that statement, they did have a point in how poor he performed in the business end of the season. Maybe they see Rakitic will be a lot more productive when it matters? They should forget about Koke and sign Pjanic. Absolutely classy player. A real joy to watch.

He signed a new contract with Roma so looks set to stay.

Hmm football contracts mean pretty much nothing nowadays tbh. If Barca make a real effort to sign him, he will be keen to move no doubt about it. PSG also do need a player of his ilk to make a real challenge in the CL I feel.

posted on 16/6/14

Yes, Pjanic is my dream United signing tbf. Well, he was number 2 before Gundogan discovered pies and turned into a fatso.

Top player. I understand Wumpatrol's position re contracts. Especially as Roma are essentially a 'selling club'.

However, Liverpool proved last season that clubs are not nearly as impotent as many think. A club can essentially hold a player to ransom as the Scouse did with Suarez when Arsenal came calling.

posted on 16/6/14

Yeah true. I'd still be very surprised if he leaves this summer.

They don't need him anyway. Benatia is the player they need from Roma.
