His awful wife Winnie also ordered necklacing, the practice of dousing tyres in petrol around someone's neck and setting them on fire.

Fascists?! Some argue freedom fighter and while it wasn't his cuse I have a problem with it is the terrorists tactics he used, not targeted killing but bombs set in public places such as train stations in order to cause maximum fatalities to random, innocent people.

I'm not massively clued up on South African history but from what I know, Mandela only used violence when necessary, against those who were deserving of it.
The fact that he is revered around the world tells its own story. RIP
