Also not seen Adnan play behind the striker for us, he's usually out wide.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

he played behind the striker vs Norwich in the league cup, thats his best position IMO, its only because we're shít out wide that he looks so amazing there, he's the nearest thing to Kaka ive seen since...well Kaka

It's a shame Fellaini is out, as he could have won some fans over with a couple of games as a #10... Would be ideal against Spurs, I think.

I have a feeling Valencia will certainly start

I'm hoping he gets dropped as punishment for his ridiculous red card that heaped pressure on us.

goldfish memory?

Fellaini in the #10 role has anally pounded every top team in the league

Keep Young on right wing or not in team at all. He's shiiiite on the left.

hes got a point to be honest

fellaini in the past has been very good at number 10

Playing Fellaini behind the striker would mean we'd have to play a few 'hoofballs' which is crap and pointless, especially when Spurs have pretty big midfielders that would be able to wrestle him for it. Plus he said his position is a DM, so play him there.

I would actually put welbeck up front and have adnan behind him

As good as he will be I don't think adnan offers enough defensively and it shows on the wings

I would play young and Valencia on the wings with a 2 of carrick and fletch or clev

Our play at the top actually looks good without rooney, but the MF is struggling without him. I do think a fit and on fire RVP would have seen us not missing roo as much as some think. Unfortunately Chicha offers nothing bar the 6 yard box

yes when the ball is lumped up to him, if we start hoofing it as a tactic i'll personally murder David Moyes

Mex I agree with you about Adnan, even Moyes said his future position will be a number 10 but right now he's using him on the wings because as you said we lack quality there.

no i'd much rather we lost

Fletcher has been decent since he came back from surgery, he's not been as rusty for someone out of football for a year.

posted on 31/12/13

Fletch was better than Carrick was in his comeback game

Spurs have a makeshift left back and right back at the moment.

No medals for guessing where they could be vulnerable.

Why would you drop Cleverley then you plank, a player who's been pretty good recently.
no let's keep on a rusty Carrick and Fletcher, slow aging midfielders who will get destroyed as only one of them has any technical ability whatsoever.

greg Thing is depends who is in front of the MF

I reckon a carrick and fletch partnership would be good for shinji tbh as he can relax on the defensive duties

Tehre is a reason rooney is always in the middle when carrick is played with clev etc.

complete myth only spouted by people who watched everton occasionally on MOTD.

As hard as it must be to beleive for anti-moyes and/or anti-fellaini players..... some of Fellaini's best work was done with the ball on the ground, using his strength and guile.

Keep hating though, it beats actually watching football.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Fletcher start tomorrow but personally I would go for more 'legs' in the middle because there is a distinct lack of inspiration going forward ...... apart from 'English Henry' Welbeck of course!! We need to up the tempo. Does anyone think we will start with a midfield 3 to combat Tottenham's strength in midfield?
