This current Liverpool team is unquestionably very good, but was expensively assembled. This current Everton team is unquestionably very good but assembled at a fraction of the cost. Given tha t this thread is about which team is better value for money then I really am not sure how you are so steadfast in your view? Might I suggest that whilst I would undoubtedly see things most often with a blue slant that you see absolutely everything with a complete red tint to the exception of everything, including common sense?

OK let's do this in a way you may understand.
Between the two goalkeepers I'd say it's pretty even. But if we're going for value then I'd go with Mignolet as he is much younger. Also with potential to improve.
I think Johnson is a better player than Coleman, who I rate highly. Coleman is having a better season thus far.
I'd say Jagielka is a better player than Skrtel.
Sahko is a better player than Distin.
Baines is a better player than Enrique.
Lucas better than Barry.
Henderson better than McCarthy.
Gerrard better than Barkley.
Coutinho better than Pienaar,
Suarez better than Mirallas
Sturridge better than Lukaku
Now onto the rest of the squad with ours being far superior.

Agger
Toure
Allen
Sterling
Aspas
Borini etc.
Compared to
Hibbert
Heitinga

Fourth is now very important in the Premier League in terms of competing for trophies. Getting fourth makes you a more attractive opposition for players. Not only that but it provides the funds needed to not compete with City and Chelsea but at least to try. If Everton got fourth, you'd be in a much stronger position to win trophies.
If you look at the teams who have won trophies since the four positions were awarded to the Premier League, you'll find the teams which have finished in the top four the most have won the most. That's not a coincidence.

You also fail to consider the fact that if Liverpool chose to sell all of their players and Everton chose to sells theirs, Liverpool would receive considerably more than Everton and thus the squad value is much higher, which of course would go towards determining, along with the most important factor of winning trophies, which squad is the most value for money.
