Robbing,
I realise you probably won't pick this up until you get out of bed late morning.
Have another look at your last response to my post scolding your behaviour.
In the cold light of day,and with as cool a head as your undoubted fiery temperament allows,do you not think you have reinforced my point?
So we are above you and have a better and much more valuable squad, thus were better value for money
So TOOR, you have spent how much more than us according to your figures to accumulate your squad? What was it, about a net £29m difference for this current squad and for what? A one place difference in the league, which equates to no trophies and a difference in prize money of c.£1m. I genuinely don't think that is value for money, I'm sorry. Even if you include the guaranteed champs league money of £20m for the group stages and one knock out game then you're still at a loss.
And going back to your earlier contention against my point, I used the last five years because a) That figure was easily available to me! and b) Because the only player in your squad that was there five years ago is Stevie G and as he came through the youth ranks there is no monetary value on his acquisition and therefore value for money calculation.

I am currently happy with were we are at the moment,
This sort of comment/question is ridiculous as each supporter will obviously back their particular Team.

Me too
Or how about looking at cost per goal scored?
Would that be a good guide to value for money, we could use wage and transfer value as a starter for 10
As we all know, goals win games and cups
SAF retiring when he did looks like the best thing that has happened to Everton in the last few years.
Not disrespecting David Moyes in any way because he has done brilliantly from the start for us.
Only the last couple of years things began to go stale.Where I sit in the Park End there was definately murmurings going on about the lack of imagination and tactics shown by Moyes. As many wanted him out as their were wanting him to stay.Add to that his relationship with Bill Kenwright then every thing was well for a better 'cosy'.
Kenwright would not push Moyes to do better in fear of losing him and Moyes had little to no pressure and it suited both.
SAF retiring has opened many peoples eyes and questions are now being asked regarding Moyes. Our chairman should take heed and not allow himself to allow a 'cosy' situation with a manager to the detriment of the club to ever happen again
A team that is approaching nearly two whole decades without a single trophy isn't very valuable to me.
Why do clubs even spend money?
The true value of a club has to be the rewards it reaps and Everton can only muster best matchday pies
I believe Moyes also had input on who would follow him as manager. He had nothing but good things to say about Martinez in the previous two seasons.
With Stones coing in and Moyes transfer target cancelled I feel this was sorted (United/moyes/Martinez/Everton) long before Fergie announced his intention to retire

What says you about clubs going over 2 decades without a league title to crow about?
Barkley worth 70 million will never happen.
You gotta laugh. This time next year he will be an average English mid fielder lol. Talk about grasping at straws.
If Suarez continues with his current progress he'll be worth 300 million within 3 years right?
comment by Red Mamba - Terror Fantabulous (U1282) (U13041)
You do realize that Suarez is coming up 27 years of age whilst Barkley is barely 20.
In 3 years time Suarez's value will be less than it is now whilst Barkley's will be increasing.
You do understand that a players age will reflect his value. Please say you understand as it's not rocket science

so you're adding new parameters again eh
Does anyone know the rough total amount spent by either club since the start of the football league. We can then use the trophy winning index and total points scored to define who has best value for money
Not at all, when you were dominent in the 70' and 80's your managers to a man said winning the league is the the most important thing. It's the only trophy that the best team wins, cups can be won by the luck of the draw or a moment on any given day.
So going by that and as is evident by Wigan and Swansea currently being the domestic cup holders.Liverpool FC haven't been a top top team for over 2 decades.
The often rolled out Liverpool FC are one of Europes elite clubs is becoming less relevant as I can't think of another truly big club that haven't won their domestic league for 20+ years and counting.
Can you Metro?
What, Liverpool have not won the league in the PL era....
They have won loads, spent loads...
But not managed to string 38 games together. Someone did mention that during a calendar year they had won the most points....
This would look good next to the top at xmas cup they got this year
And I hate to think what would happen if they took hold of Arsenals top four cup

No. You're just inept at debate which is why you fail to address the various points put before you as you are either unwilling or unable to do so. This is the act of a maggot and I regarded being "closed" as insulting in the same why as I regard your lame sanctimonious attitude. You have no point. Just some tool knocking one out in the mirror with an extremely poor article.
Phil, I really do not understand what you're trying to say. If it's that LFC are no longer an elite club I think that is open to debate but we're bigger than Everton. If it's that LFC have not done that well in the league you'd again be right but we've done better than everton. If it's about value for money then again we could have done better but we spend less per trophy than everton. If it's that Gerrard wants to be higher than Everton you'd be right but so what? Of course he'll want LFC to be the best club in his city as otherwise how can they start to be considered one of the best in the country.
Various LFC fans, all season, have said kind words about Everton.... I have literally seen nothing coming the other way.

Is this really coming from an Everton fan? .
Which teams fans has just spent the last two seasons celebrating finishing above us?
I did you a diservice Robbing, late morning is still the middle of the night for you. Just got up from your pit?
Yawn. That's insulting and as such you are a hypocrite therefore undermining your borish and mundane posts. Awful at debate, arrogant and sanctimonious. The list is increasing.
