"did he say it or did he not TOOR,No one at Everton have put amongst their goals to finish above Liverpool."
When I said that's what defines the ambitions of Everton fans, compared to Liverpool fans I was referring to the players of either clubs .

If it's a given that finishing top 4 would mean that you finish above us then why did he mention finishing above us then.
Why not leave it as finishing in the top 4??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he's a local player and he saw you finishing above us two seasons in a row. This really isn't difficult Phillip. Maybe he respects you also? Believes that finishing above Everton would mean top four? Draw your own conclusions Phillip. Try not to make them too bitter though.

Is is always like this on JA606?
It starts off with reasoned debate then deteriorates into insults when a point is disproved.
Mostly from the red side of the board it must be said.
non matchgoing fanboys don't see off the ball runs etc that never get shown on streams.
Big difference,a player may make 8 or 9 runs without ever getting the ball, often this is not shown,so on tv you don't appreciate the off the balkl effort some players put in.
If you occasionally went to games you would know exactly what I am talking about

Realise we appear to have left the original topic somewhat and drifted into the usual slagging session but this site has some food for thought. Essentially based on this season so far both Everton and Liverpool can be considered to be overachieving considering points gained v wages paid. A bit simplistic but a decent enough measurement.
My only argument with the Liverpool fans who claim only they can be value for money because they've won a trophy, that was near enough two years ago since when you've spent a shedload. Surely your current team cannot have a value for money rating tempered so favourably by that win? How long does this spike last for? Coutinho, Sakho, Sturridge, Mignolet, Henderson(?), all bought since then, others too I'm sure.
Not slating the reds at all here, they're playing their best football for some time and Luis Suarez is a player that pretty much all football fans would pay to see, but I think it's genuinely biased to say that this current Liverpool team I better vfm by dint of a trophy 23 months ago with a quite different group of players and manager.
How's Bilyadinov getting on? £9m. Around the same price as Borini. Andy Johnson £8.5m.
Just think, this was years ago, they'd have cost much more than Borini now.
Apparently not Coutinho.
A tad premature there

Have to agree with you Phil. My brother a die hard red watched Barkley at Goodison and he more or less compared him to Gerrard.
Until you see players of the quality of Suarez, Barkley and Gerrard do what they do you just dont ever get a feel for how easy they make it.....they were that much better than every other player on the pitch. And I hate complementing rival players. Only Scholes has had this from me in the past.

How about I trafe you an Alberto Aquilani from the similar period. A Sean Dundee maybe from yesteryear
That's two foolish comments on the trot Coutinho.

Cold sores are a sure sign of stress and mention of cold sores emphasised my point that he does seem to be a man under stress.

You named some players who haven't won a trophy in the Liverpool squad. Let me provide a bit of balance and add some players who have.
Johnson
Agger
Skrtel
Henderson
Lucas
Suarez
I'm sure there's more but I'm sure you'll get the point now and in regards to answering the question, you would have to say if trophies are a measure of value for money, that Liverpool have had more value for money, in terms of players in the squad.
Hold on, I see your Andy Caroll and raise you a Stuart Downing.Phil.

Both players won a trophy. No Everton players have won a trophy for Everton. Value for money.
