Liverpool strive to be the best.
Everton strive to be better than Liverpool.
Under Moyes then maybe you had a point.Martinez at no point has come out and said 'we strive to be better than Liverpool'.
Now I can dig out an article with a direct quote from your club captain and voted greatest Liverpool player ever Steven Gerrard where he says part of his and Liverpool fc's goals for the season was to 'finish above Everton'
How times change eh
Everton are doing really well and are good to watch.
You deserve a long sentience with your distorting of the English language
I touch type and I'm using a wire keyboard that I'm picking up and putting down. You're not very good at debating and you have a very average grasp of vocabulary. I get that. There is an "i" there, I know and I'm sorry, I do not know how it got there but unfortunately you now just look incredibly weak in my opinion. Typo's? Really? Weak assed stuff.
Balls ? asses?
Rather limited vocabulary if I may say so.
Thanks for the,ahem, debate Robbing.
Time for the match cheerio
No surprise to see Everton fans watching their favourite team.
It's only funny cos it's true
Probably EFC.
They've placed ahead of LFC the last 2 seasons and are level with them after half of this season. Given that they've spent a lot less on their team (wages & transfer fees), you'd have to give them the nod.
A combined XI would be:
Suarez
Lukaku
Coutinho
Barkley
Lucas
Mirrales
The entire Everton back 5 minus Distin (sub in any one of Liverpool's CBs).
That's 7-4 to EFC with less of an outlay.
Barkley plays for Everton....
Thats all that matters for me, its amazing that he had two shady loans at Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds. But looks a key player in Martinez's setup.
Strong, quick, eye for a pass....only one player hit a better pass in the Derby (Gerrard in first half from Bullens to far side)
Lets not forget he looks comfortable going on left or right.

I fully agree. Its great to see both teams playing so well and competing at the right end.
Depends what you consider value for money. If you consider value for money as getting good value for players who don't achieve anything with your club, then you could say Everton.
If you considering value for money as having an outcome after spending, like winning trophies, then Liverpool.
Personally I'd go for the latter but maybe I'm just bias.
Sinister Minister (U18911)
I'd agree with that other than that I would have Sturridge over Mirrales and Gerrard over Lucas.

Watching some bloke win a trophy on the telly must really connect you to the club TOOR.
You......well never mind
Haven't read the entire thread, although I did note one of the blues trying to dismiss the cost per trophy factor before anyone said it.
That just proves that they know it's true - or why else say it.
Everton spend money and win nothing.
Liverpool spend more but win more
Its quite simple really - Liverpool are pound for pound superior as we win trophies
I'm trying to think of a good analogy
Hmmm
It's a bit like man 1 (LFC) paying a fee to sleep with beautiful women whilst man 2 (EFC) can only pick up the scent off man 1s fingers

As long as you are happy to go with those who spend most win trophies, then forgive me if I pull you lot up in the future biitching about the arab and russian money clubs buying trophies.

The Finger sniffers!!!!!!!
I really can't remember where I read it but there was an article that studied how much it cost to win trophies. Basically you reach a plateau and then you get less value for money in terms of points but you win more stuff if that makes sense. Can't remember where that was though.

Come on phil, if a billionaire came to any club and splashed the cash we'd be happy. You lot would and have been complaining about lack of investment for years.
Simple thing is about us and you regarding money is this "we spend more because we make more" it's as simple as that!
