The most worrying thing for me is that he doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes, which suggests he maybe can't control what he does in the heat of the game. That's a problem.

I can't name an available left back, but seeing as Klopps MO is signing lesser known players and developing them, surely there's something out there? But judging by some of our 'lazy' signings in recent years, I don't have much faith in our scouts.

I think Milner can do a better job as a LB than Moreno.

1. Randall is linked to wigan now on loan.. surely this means something is going on in the back ground. i see 4 fit defenders now in total.

2. better left fulls and available.

obviously hector, he's now in preseason so is talking a lot, sounds like he doesn't want to be forgotten after good euros.

De scigilo is a right back sure but seems to be available and would be reasonably rated

willems obviously wants a move badly. He even posted his snapchat photoshop pic in lfc gear. not sure if he's any good really though

Can made more errors than Moreno leading to shots or goals and yes I think suggesting that Moreno will derail our teams season farcical because it is.

I just checked sqwaka and it's saying that the fifth most errors in the league was Stones on three so Moreno is less than that. In fact sqwake says he made the grand total of two.

In terms of at the club Liverpool made the most defensive errors in the entire league but do you know who made the most interceptions?

Yes Moreno on 63.

Do you know who the top defender was for creating chances?

Yep - Moreno on 61

As said - farcical.

Well he did a pretty good job at derailing our Europa League final chances. First goal his poor clearance, third goal he was out of position.

RKW I'm there for the Leicester game in the new main stand..

Pretty high up though!

Looking forward to it. Should be a cracking atmosphere. Kind of glad that's our first game and not Burnley.

This is a common theme with fans nowadays. They say full backs are out of position when in fact they aren't. Their job in many teams, ours being one of them, is to push forward, if the attack breaks down and they're up field, well they can't transport but Moreno does an excellent job of getting back from that and getting a tackle or block in, due to his pace, I saw it on numerous occasions last season. If we wanted a full back just to defend and always be 'in position', we wouldn't have signed Moreno.

He has made mistakes, nobody is denying that but it's being blown out of proportion big time. He even got blamed for their goal when the defender hit it through his legs. It doesn't matter how good you are, this can happen. Ask anybody Suarez has ever faced.

The biggest issue for me with Moreno is his maturity. I think he has the maturity of an 18 year old, which shows in his game, as if he has the brains and experience of one. He may be a late bloomer, in terms of it just clicking with him but I feel with him having the raw tools, he'll be a top player. I'm gonna be optimistic and put myself on the line here and say it's this season.

Overall we were crap in the second half in the Europa leg final, Moreno was not to blame. In fact I'd place blame on the manager as from the first minute of the second half, it was obvious they were hitting our left flank and doubling up on every attack. Everything went down that side, as that's the side we got so much joy in, in the first half. Their manager reacted, ours didn't. To be honest, I noticed Klopp being slow to react on a few occasions last season. That's why we took leads, then squandered them.

Agree the whole moreno thing is ridiculous, time for us to ring the PL and have them chalk off all our games as 3-0 losses.

As someone said, klopp is all about developing players and moreno is a great talent,

I also disagree with the tracking back Bull, I've seen him on several occasions bust a gut getting back and single handedly stopping counter attacks by outpacing the man with the ball.

You can't all sit here and say "mig is the reason we conceded so many" and then two posts later "moreno is the reason we conceded so many".

I'd say it's far more likely that is was an unsettled defence causing our problems, form tailed off with sakhos ban. And we started the season without a settled back 4 under Rodgers, then there was a change in formation and coaching methods.

Last season was always a wash after the start, but klopp got these awful players to two finals. That's how terrible they are!!

Some fans need to take a look at themselves, stop exaggerating and indulging in absolutist hyperbole.

Your like fackin women on their time of the month.

Throw what's stars you want at me, defend him as passionately as you want, but Moreno is fairly average. I watched all the games last season. I saw that he can't defend. I saw the opposition continually target our left side because he and Cout contributed nothing defensively. If we want to improve the team one of the priorities has to be LB. to think otherwise is a bit mental

Moreno isn't a 'great talent'. He's a rapid fullback who likes to bomb on, but when he gets in the final third only rarely is able to actually do something with the ball. Then proceeds to jog back when the opposition break instead of legging it. This could be forgiven as you could say "klopp will coach that out of him", apart from the fact of his regular brain explosions. Where he just loses any thought and does something completely idiotic, like intentionally hacking down a player inside our box, and he never learns from these.

We should have known from the start though, the Sevilla fans were over the moon when they found out how much we were paying for him, offering to drive him to the airport etc. and it wasn't like it was a fee that was ridiculous, it was only 12 mil. Shows what they thought of him.

Who are these Sevilla fans you speak of?

Even if this were true, it's common theme for fans nowadays to say a young player is crap as soon as he leaves. I mean our own fans went from rating Sterling as one of the best young players in the world to saying he was just another Aaron Lennon, in the space of six months, with Ibe being much better than him, until he left also, then he was useless too.

I'd care if origi Can was too.

And I like the look of grujic, and mane I have always liked a lot. I think we have a pretty decent squad tbh. Just need a new left back.
