Rags this morning claiming city faves to sign Sterling for £45m on a £120,000 a week deal.

Possible cash player deal with Dzeko coming this way, quality striker who knows where the goal is.

Who's driving him to City then?

I don't think Dzeko fits Rodgers supposed style of play TBH.

Rags are making it up as they go along.

Neither does Balotelli or lambert and he's a lot better than either of them!

Not denying he's better but if we are to play this high pressing high energy football then even a quality forward like Dzeko does not suit our formation

I think so...the lack of FSG involvement regarding this Sterling fiasco leads me to believe he's fighting for his job.

They were very quick with a similar Suarez situation...however they've let this Sterling one linger.

I think they will keep him. He is a FSG man. He will blame the players and how unlucky he's been without Suarez even though he doesn't even play for us anymore.

He will detail some plan to them as to how he will make Markovic the next Ronaldo.

I am 50/50 on whether he will cling on.

If he does he will have to start next season fast, and given we have only done that once in his three seasons (and that was fast in results but poor performances), I think he will be gone by October regardless.

I think he should stay...but the board should definitely use this season as weapon to take transfers away from him...he's hopeless when it comes to that.

Sturridge is fecked

The last time they said it was all in his head but apparently this new operation found the root of the problem...so either they gave him a brain transplant or they fecked up last time

A 6-1 defeat is unacceptable for this club regardless of what he's done in the past. I'm not one for knee-jerk decisions but we could have easily conceded six last week against Palace too.

If Klopp is there to be got - get him. He's a big name around Europe, won 2 league titles and reached a CL final.

Yeah...we're better of now than when Rodgers took over. I like to believe we have a good base which we can build on...although everyone needs to come to the party.

Mignolet, Sakho, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge is a decent enough base to build a side around. Then players like Lallana, Markovic, Flanagan and co are good enough for a squad role.

Origi has been named in L'Equipe's French League Worst Team of the Season

Looking like another masterstroke that one.

We have the bones of a great squad, the younger players need to kick on to flesh it out a bit, and in my opinion we need to switch to a transfer method now of spending all our money on 2/3 TOP players each season

The wage restrictions need to go....or even the way we structure contracts. You're not gonna attract the best players on heavily incentive based contracts.
