It's being reported that we made a loss and the money from the FSG deal is covering our losses. So the club can only sell to buy because we're pro-FFP.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
People are forever saying we have to sell to buy and then we go and spend millions.
Because that's what we do.

Won’t losses due to the pandemic be taken into account by ffp?

This.
It's really not. Who did we sell to spend over £80,000,000 this year then?

Sales dont have to have happened within the same year as purchases.
Also, we hardly signed anyone after winning the Champions league, no?

It's glitching again. It's widely reported that our installments for this season's transfers was something like £15m or something which £9m of, was offset by Hoever going to Wolves.
It amazes me that people seem to think there is some pretty cash tin marked "transfers" with an in and out column.
There's not. There is income and there is expenditure and that includes the tea ladies wages.
If people write utter sh!t and go around pretending like we're paupers they're going to get pulled up on it I'm afraid.
So where's this income coming from...for transfers?
From our income just like it always has. It's all right there in our accounts, nothing untoward going on.
But it's just been said that we're breaking even because of a loan from the owners.
So where's the income for transfers coming from?
We'll amortize or borrow. You yourself have said that's what what we did last summer so...
Can you borrow for transfers under FFP? without a positive forecast on you'll be in the black by the time the next financials are released. Risky move that could make us breach FFP. I doubt the club will do that after it's spent the last few years settling all our bank loans and increasing our credit reserve.
We'll loan from the owners for the off the field but we can't do that for transfers. We never have.
Loads of clubs have borrowed money but yeah we havent. I think we have the lowest debt to value ratio in the Forbes list as well. FFP loses over two seasons are allowed to roll into one or something as well.
Personally I have no problem selling players we don't want in order to buy ones we do anyway.
Or we did loan the season we knew Coutinho was gonna leave. I stand corrected.

I think they said something about rolling three years in to one, but I could be mistaken. Then FFP covers a 5 year period for a while.
