Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho after an explosive morning where he refused to take the squad onto the training ground over the club's proposed European super league admission
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Incredible man, hope Klopp and Pep do the same.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jose was a dead man walking regardless
The money from the ESL has quite possibly given them the financial push they needed to sack Jose anyway. This season means nothing to any of the big six now, nor do any of their remaining games.

We've let the one country in the world that doesn't give a deck about football get their hands on it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Give it 20 years they'll probably be one of the best nations in football sadly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont think so. They don't have the appetite for the game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah it's growing and they have more resources in sport than anyone else.
Really hope Klopp says something tonight

People say why sack him just before the final? Well with the super League on the way, who cares about a domestic cup final. People say the cups won't be further devalued, well bad news it has happened right now before our eyes. Tottenham who have not won a trophy for 13 years couldn't give two sheits about an upcoming cup final because of the money they will get from their new forever league, which is why they have no problem doing a big staff upheval in the week before the final.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or maybe they knew it would be more difficult to sack him if they won the final?

Doubtful. He’ll be fully briefed on what he can say, and unless he plans on leaving out of principal he has nothing to gain by criticising the hierarchy.

MLS has been around for decades and the standard hasn’t improved. They’ve lured the odd over the hill superstar, but with the ESL they’ll have less chance than ever of signing anyone worthy in their prime.
Going to feel odd tonight. We don't need top 4 anymore. Might as well finally give Robbo a rest.
MLS hasn't even been around for 3 decades yet so I wouldn't exactly say that is has been around for decades.
The standard of MLS has massively improved over the last few years. Just because we don't bat an eyelid to it because we focus on European football doesn't mean it hasn't improved and doesn't mean it won't continue to improve. In 27 years of existence it has far exceeded the expectations that anybody would have thought it would, especially with football not being one of the biggest sports in the US, but it's getting far bigger and it's no longer a retirement home for players these days in order to create an attraction.

Argentine and Brazil don't have the same resources but they still produce the best players. History and the culture has a big say in it. Players growing up there wanting to be the next Messi is what drives them. In the US it is about the next Brady or Lebron James.

Personally I hope they put in a relegation scheme, bottom two in each 10 man league perhaps but guess we will wait and see. It won't survive its current guise, but no one sets out their realistic proposals off the bat, always leave room for negotiation!

As I have said though, just because we don't know who it is doesn't mean he's a bad player by any account.
It might not take another 30 years with the growth rate it has been showing in the last 10, although I imagine it will plateau at some stage. But the backing is there.

They're fit but technically poor. Bradley Wright Phillip's smashed it over there.
When did you last watch it? The players over there are of better standard than you would realise. Yes, not in the same league as the top European brackets, but still better.
The better players in the league are capable of competing at Premier League level, which is some way from when Bradley Wright-Phillips was competing in League One for the likes of Charlton and Brentford.
