I reckon we'll win our next three and if so that's something like 12 wins and 4 draws in 16 games.
Otherwise known as title winning form. We'll need a bit of luck but it's hardly mid table beckons is it.
got a feeling Leeds will be nowhere near as dog sheite as they have been so far no doubt upping their game vs us. VVD showed some classic casual Virg defending to let Haaland score last night too. Reacted about 10 seconds too late.
always be open other end vs leeds though, hopefully have our shooting boots on and not slippers as is often the case.
Should be 9 points from the next 3 but its rare we make it straight forward.

I think we all know Klopp is the single biggest factor making us a title contender. That window is ending, it's not to say we won't continue to be title contenders after he leaves but I think we'd all like to see us go all out to win as much as possible whilst he's here.
Not worried about us missing out on CL for example, we should finish comfortably in the top 4.
More concerned about Brentford away at this stage. Leeds look made for us atm.
ac milan and norwich away in the efl between them all too.

Oh come, you're deluding yourself if you think he's as effective during games as he was pre-covid.
99% of Liverpool fans know he isn't the player he used to be. Poor *by his standards* maybe a fairer comment but still, absolutely not this irreplaceable player he's made out to be for some weird reason.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mane has 8 goals in his last 14 games.
To say he has been poor for the best part of two years is utter bollox. Don't you get embarrassed? Genuine question.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So there's no player in world football we could sign that would challenge his position in the team? Because this is the debate we're having and the context my comment was made in after all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your comment was bollox end of.
I loath the form is permanent class is temporary culture to be fair but acting like I am the one who is spouting polarised erroneous is simply untrue.
Only 10 days ago Neo was calling me an attention seeker and literally laughing at me for suggesting Elliot was ahead of Ox in midfield.
If some posters on this site had their way Mane would be out of the door, Firmino put down, Henderson would have been out the club six years ago and Trent would be in the ressies.
Yes there are better players than Mane but there's not many is there and that's just a fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I said that because there was nothing at the time that suggested it was true. Now Elliott started against Chelsea you have a stronger argument but its literally one game where few others in his position were fit, I highly expect Klopp will change it a lot throughout the season.
As for bringing up others opinions from 6 years ago (bizarre argument), I seem to remember you saying Salah was crap and didn't want him before we signed him, so there you go.
Mane has lost a yard of pace (undeniable) and his form has dipped (either considerably or marginally depending on who's opinion) in the last 12 months (not two years as Fred says). Either way, It's not unreasonable by any stretch of the imagination to think a new player player brought in would be able to displace him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think it's undeniable Mane has lost a yard of pace at all. He admitted underperforming last season and it affecting his confidence so much that he had tests done on his body and statistics analysed. The tests showed there was no change. The statistics showed no change in terms of chances created, positions he was getting into and he attempted more dribbles last season, with a similar percentage completed to the previous season. The ONLY difference was his chance conversion, which is understandable due to the confidence levels dropping as the team were struggling.
Norwich away won't make a difference as most of the starting XI in that game will be squad players anyway.
AC Milan will be a really good tie. I don't remember a time facing them when they weren't out and out favourites! Have we faced them since 2007?

Criticism of Mane is weird. He didn't have a good season last season, as well as missed chances, his first touch was often poor but to be written off as being in decline after one poor season that was impacted by Covid is strange. It certainly hasn't been two poor seasons and he has started off this season much better.

Recognising a player wasn't at his best and criticising him is pretty different. I'm clearly talking about those who have said that he is past it or on the decline based on one season.

Don’t give up hope yet, but Origi is being linked with Fenerbache, whose transfer window doesn’t close til Wednesday.
