Which this 424 looks like imo
Caicedo would be first choice. He was very good against City last week. He never panicked when receiving the ball in tight spaces and we know City put a lot of pressure on the player in possession. His tenacity and calmness on the ball is what we need.

Caicedo or Guimaraes are must buys imo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Guimaraes
Dream on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not exactly outrageous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why on earth would Newcastle, the richest club on the planet, sell one of their best players to us when they are trying to become a force?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I reckon he'd like to join Liverpool is more the point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe, but Newcastle won't be selling so that's irrelevant.
Caicedo is the one for me too. Although it would leave us in trouble whenever there are South America internationals on with players coming back late for the weekend fixture. Diaz, Nunez, Caicedo, Ali and Fabinho!
Might be a bit early to judge but I've been impressed by the Portuguese guy Fulham signed this summer even if he does love a yellow card or two. Had to look up his name - Palhinha. Could be a left field option in the summer although at 27 he's not really one for the FSG model.
If we're going to persist with 4-4-2 then Marcus Edwards could be a decent option for the right wing.
Looked very good in those 2 games v Spurs, and Ward seems to have a hard on for the Portugese league

I just think building a team around Thiago is really shortsighted, regardless of his world class ability. As a squad player...massive yes.
We need to move on from him, Milner, Henderson, Keita and Ox though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure anyone is talking about building a team around Thiago are they? I'm certainly not. Like you said, it would be foolish.
But as a component part of a title challenging squad, absolutely. With his ability I'm happy to accept 30 games a season.
Hopefully after last night we can finally bin that horrendous white/purple away kit and stick to green.

But yeah I would not mind another 8 and another 6 too.
As said losing Kaita and Ox and replacing with two good quality midfielders would make an absolutely huge difference imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With Fab and Hendo getting on, Jones and Elliot not yet there and everyone else being made of weetabix, I feel we need two midfielders. Probably one in January and another in summer.
For around the same amount it would cost us to get Bellingham, we can get two midfielders instead, Caicedo or Guimaraes level of quality.

I wasn't referring to you so much...just that the 424 formation heavily relies on Thiago dominating possession which is so shortsighted from Klopp and his team.
Thiago gets injured so much, we can predict his injury now
We should host a predictor game for Thiago's injuries
It was an ear infection wasn't it? No club doctor so he had to self diagnose.

Don't stress...Ward will find us a portuguese doctor in Jan window

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lmao
From Klopp's presser it sounds like Thiago is fit. Hendo most likely fit but they will have to assess on the day. Konate fit, Naby in training but not in consideration for selection.
