More sources now reporting fee for Mac is just under £45m.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thuram and Kone also at 25-30m Euros.
FSG with another window without going above £100m.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you know that’s where the spending stops?
Would you be happier if those 3 players cost £150m?

Spurs fans on here really are something else aren't they
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some are grand but a certain element have serious delusions of grandeur about a club that’s been pretty irrelevant it’s entire history
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's weird, I find the majority of Spurs fans (IRL certainly, but on here too) are quite downbeat about Spurs - there's a strong element of gallows humour, that they'll always find a way to spurs things up.
And then there's a small section that are completely the opposite and seem to think Spurs are a massive club and should be challenging on all fronts!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is exactly it, though the latter on here is more than IRL spurs fans in my experience atleast. Seemed to believe the hype that skys top 6 or 8 etc meant theyre up there with the actual big clubs. Truth is theyre long way behind Arsenal who most would argue arent even one of the actual big clubs.
I feel their pain with Levy, hes grown them from a business point of view fairly well, but as a footballing model Spurs potential is huge and being nowhere near satisfactory, not since Poch really.
Maybe its a case of cash upfront or something as opposed to what i imagine Chelsea do and spread it over 8 years of payments?
Be brilliant if we could get Thuram, Mac10 and Kone for under 100m. Then see what we can raise from sales (prob not a lot) but maybe enough to stretch for a Gvardiol on top?
If we could gett 10-15m for morton, 5-10m for phillips, few mill here and there for Sepp VDB, Rhys Williams, loan fee for Carvalho etc.
Maybe 20m for Kelleher who imo needs more than cup games he needs seasons with 40 games + hes seriously behind on exp and as the Irish manager said he needs to catch up if he wants the spot for them. Depends if a reasonable offer comes in though as hes too good for the bench but also too good to let go cheap, would expect a buyback clause too myself.
Tsimikas out for 10-15m? maybe Matip for a few bob? Though id rather sell Gomez and keep Matip. Outside of this theres not much i'd wanna lose to raise funds.

If we get the three players we wanted and don’t pay over 100m then that’s fantastic work from the club.
Not a downside just because the fees weren’t high.
If we dont spend over £100 mill then its gonna be make or break for FSG imo

We need a defender. If the 3 midfielders take us to 100M then we will need to spend over 100M to not have the same problem as last year transferred from midfield to defence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reports suggest we are looking for 3 midfielders and a defender.
Perfect, thats what i said was needed for a while.
Fabinho and Thiago will be gone at the end of the upcoming season. By then hopefully Bajcetic will be ready to be a starter.rather than come in when players are injured
