Newcastle is massive, if we can somehow win that (although I'd take a point) we'll be in good shape with six very winnable fixtures afterwards.
the closer we get to the window closing the less we'll have to pay for anyone we want right..

Yeah I'd be happy with a point at Newcastle, they are a very good side.

Especially at home
Not sure I'd class Villa as "very winnable" though - that's a very tough game also.

I think we’ll win. Didn’t see much Saturday night to be concerned about
That’s my GB moment for this season
Villa haven't won away in 7 fwiw.

villafans.co.uk probably saying the same thing. The can use the pace of Diaby and Bailey to get in behind us quite comfortably.
I think we win, but not a banker by any means.

Gravenbryne/Graventelli a CB and Andre in January perhaps?
Graven..... who replaces Thiago for next season and the CB replaces Matip, again for next season. Sets us up for the future and the here in now. Bacjetic and Endo with Thiago and Mac as alternatives until January.
Dacoure at 70m could also work but for me that's more of a gamble.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
theres no way we sign a replacement for thiago and matip now, we will wait till theyve left for free, then sell two first team midfielders 2 first team cbs to saudi and then and only then will we look to replace them!
Apparently we've agreed personal terms with Andre and he wants to move this summer

Who the fack of Andre?
Is this another Endo who went from being a budget, never heard of, never seen, over the hill option, to an absolute beast of workhorse who is a world class holding midfielder and centre back in less than 3 pages?

I always wondered why teams never focus on strengthening where they are weakest
Not just Liverpool
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We're weakest in midfield. We have two backup centre backs that would walk into the first team of most teams in the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They'll injure themselves doing it though
20mil for Gravenbach is the only thing that makes it interesting. Wonder what's his wages like?}

Brazilian, just turned 22 and got his first international cap. Highly rated but untested outside Brazil so who knows.
Tim Vickery seems to rate him though and he knows his South American football. (https://www.rousingthekop.com/2023/08/03/tim-vickery-gives-very-interesting-verdict-on-andre-potentially-joining-liverpool/)
Seems like a bit of a punt to me but I've seen plenty of fans suggesting we should take more risks with South American talent.
152k for Gravenberch. Can probably see why the deal hasn't been done as yet
so a season of brazilian league with no break straight into a pl season.. lets hope hes made of stern stuff

Bayern pay stupid wages at times
hes played 50 games in 2023 so far
We should offer him 120k (it's what we started Keita and Ox with...5 years ago)
But the rest should be bonuses but the heavily incentivised bonuses should be on the defensive metrics lol
I think Andre in January makes more sense tbh.
