I probably would have gone for Elliott tbh. Jones is still getting back from injury and Elliott’s form deserves starts imo. Overall, pretty happy with that team though.

Could be a fitness thing.
Hopefully it’ll be Nunez left with Jota through the middle. Though they’ll likely interchange throughout the game.

I think Elliott has been at his best when coming off the bench. Overall, he’s not been as effective when starting games imo.
Looks like Klopp has had enough of Konate. Don't think he was happy with him going to France either when he was injured.

Can’t say I’m surprised about Konate tbh, I was desperate to see him start at old Trafford but he was fecking horrendous against Atalanta.

I’ve always thought this logic is deeply unfair on players. Not just Elliott but all players. If you come off the bench and play well then you should press your claim for a starting spot imo but some seem to get saddled with the ‘good off the bench’ label.
Personally id say his form, in terms of midfielders, is probably only second to AMA. That’s good enough for a start for me.

Generally I agree, and obviously he needs to start games to improve even more. It’s just an observation this season really, where I’m not sure he’s been that convincing when starting games as opposed to playing for thirty minutes or so against tiring opponents.

Good to have Alisson back, kelleher has done a great job in his absence but felt like his presence has been missed the last two games.

Very glad to see Alisson back. Hopefully good minutes off the bench for Jota and TAA and then fully fit for the rest of the season.

Kelleher has represented. He's acquitted himself very well and it's good for him and the club too. I'd be happy for him to stay as number 2 if he would be happy with that role.
Alisson back is fantastic news.
Season just absolutely collapsed. United just ruined us. I can’t understand what’s happened.
Warning signs have been there for a while. Conceding first, missing chances but then getting late winners. It was not sustainable.

Imo we’ve just gassed. Some physically, some mentally - but we just look spent. The belief isn’t there. The confidence isn’t there.
Will be a season of ‘what ifs’ for me. What if the Ode and Doku pens were given. What if the injuries hadn’t happened. What if Klopp had been able to keep his bombshell under wraps. But none of those things happened, so it is what it is.
