Keita was such a bad signing for us.

I think Emery is at the right club. Some managers aren’t cut out to manage the biggest teams and I think he’s one of them.

With Amorim saying the rumours aren’t true, I have no idea where we turn for a manager in summer. Can’t see Klopp staying on now as well

posted on 15/4/24

Think it'll still be Amorim, he can hardly come out and say yes when both clubs are (well one is probably now were ) going for the title.

Would bring unnecessary media distractions.

I don’t want him to stay on tbh. That’s not an ‘attack’ on him, but he’s clearly burnt out and I think he’s run out of ideas in how to get the best out of the squad.

That could just be an overreaction to recent form, but I very rarely say stuff like this. Personally I’m looking forward to a fresh approach, whoever the manager is.

Don’t disagree with this. Klopp has very much been a nearly man for us unfortunately. So close so many times. Pep’s City have just ruined the PL as a contest.

posted on 15/4/24

Can't wait for Pep to finally p!ss off or the PL to actually charge them with something (yeah right).

Needing 95 points every single season to win the league is exhausting and isn't normal.

He spent £150m the summer after reaching the Europa final, he just bought duds. Also they collapsed quite spectacularly to finish 5th if I recall.

Could be he's learned how to handle a big club better, but don't think he's good at dealing with the extra expectations.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is well known that he did not want Pepe. Any how looks like we will go for Amorin and he will have some big calls to make early on.

I think we need a CB, ball winning midfielder, and a striker than can actually put the ball in the net.

Nunez will never be a clinical striker.

I think we also will need to replace Salah in summer.

Kash finally coming round to what some of us have been saying for a few months now. At one point he even accused me of racism because I criticised Salah when I pointed out he couldn't trap a bag of cement anymore and his accuracy was shot.

Not sure where the racisim claim is coming from. Please provide some evidence.

I still back Salah who is still our top scorer, chance creator and assist provider but I would like us to buy someone who can also play RF with a view to eventually replace him. Last few weeks his performances have been ugly just like so many but I will still look at the bigger picture.

He had a superb season like so many others have in the past (Michu ring a bell), and doing it against the likes of Rio Ave and Gil Vicente isn’t the same as doing it in the Premier League.

Good player, will be a big part of our squad, but needs to play alongside a finisher.

He did it vs the likes of us ffs

Emery is a funny one, not sold he can make the step up or his tactics suit a team expected to dominate games.

posted on 15/4/24

I think part of the problem with our finishing to be honest is the added pressure of constantly going 1-0 down.

Easier to miss a chance at 0-0 knowing you'll probably get another one than at 0-1 knowing you need to score virtually every chance or else you won't win.

Very much doubt we’ll be buying five players.

Only need one CB to replace Matip, the other three are more than adequate.

Definitely a DM, Endo is a decent back up, no more.

RF probably agree. Need to decide if this is just a dip in Salah’s form, and if so, wanting him sold is pretty disrespectful considering what he’s given us for so long. Hopefully those at the club will have a better insight into that than any of us. Either way, we need to be preparing for his successor, though even this depends on how the new manager wants to set up, it may not be a like for like.

I’d say CF is the lowest of the priorities. We’ve just got to rely on Jota and Nunez between them to get enough. Jota will be first choice when fully fit, with the option of Nunez playing on the left.

Felt we’ve always been wasteful under Klopp and not very clinical. Always questioned what we do in training and that we need a finishing coach. Salah and Mane included in that too. People think Salah is clinical must not watch the full 90 mins. Mane was often guilty of wasting big chances too.

Some of yesterday’s misses were such fine margins, we’d have won 3-1 if things were going our way. But yeah, always chasing the game brings so much more pressure. Remember when we used to burst out the blocks and always score early? Takes all the pressure off us and put it on the opposition, now it’s roles reversed.
