When we do replace VVD and Salah, and we will have to at some point, it’ll cost us £100m most likely. This is why we can’t let players leave on a free.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
depends how much we can get for them, if its less than 150m we rejected for Salah in jan itll hurt if sold. VVD based on this season would be worth more than we paid for him in this market to replace. Granted hes been dog muck recently butt he was outstanding most of this season.
Dont mind them seeing out their conttracts and leaving for free so long as we've replaced them long before that contracts up. Something i think we've been slow with in the past witth many players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We can’t afford to keep letting players leave on free contracts though, this is the issue.
We need to be smarter in letting players go at the right times.
Naby pulling a Man City on us in the draft
This weekend was really tough for me, and I'm not just saying that. Losing to Palace at home was the lowest of the season for me, and a real double whammy as mine and Liverpool's hopes of winning our respective leagues just about hanging by a thread now.
If we wanna draw similarities from our draft league to this season then Naby is Man City. The clear favourite from the beginning and it was only a matter of time before he found his way to the top of the table.

In that case I'm Liverpool
Naby is up against his nemesis this week who is the form player of the draft league and has a 3-1 win ratio against him.
I've lost my last 4 games
Talk about a bottle job

Just saw this
Derby 07/08 - 629 shots faced
Man United 23/24 - 574 shots faced*
Erik ten Hag's side have faced an average of 17.9 shots per game in the Premier League this season.
If they concede 56+ shots in their remaining six matches, they’ll have faced more than Derby who finished on 11 points…
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's hilarious, 10-15% of those are prob just from us as well
United are the luckiest team ever, they should be in about 14th right now.

Around 11% and we drew both games. Shows a clear issue we've had this season, especially in recent months.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
But that gets Ten Haag sacked
United are a completely dysfunctional team, but reliant on individuals to bail them out with moments of brilliance. Completely unsustainable in the long term as we've seen this season when Rashford's form reverted to average.
To be honest, they remind me a bit of how we played under Rodgers... Generally a bit of a mess but the stars paper over the cracks. They're just not as good as Suarez and Sturridge were on a different level to their forwards.
Roders attacking pattern is miles ahead of Ten Hag

Was it really? Once Suarez left the football was dross and Rodgers responded with a 343 with Can at centre back and Markovic as a wing back. He had no idea how to use Firmino either.

Shame, but his form has dropped a lot lately
Good thing Trent is back really. Gomez at right back is fine in short bursts but it really limits our attacking output.
Trent looked really rusty last Sunday. Let's hope that 45 mins helped.

He clearly lost his way with his power struggle with the transfer committee. I still think he's an awful judge of player and obviously having someone with the caliber of Suarez helps. He lost 50+ goals from his team following the 13/14 season though...and had a massive rebuild job where he and the transfer committee had major differences on the direction in which they wanted to take the team forward.
I still think his demand for certain players made him & the team way more worse than his ability to coach...especially from an attacking pov
