Nah
spurs have spent over half a billion net last 5 years thats with the stadium costs. we've spent less than that in the last 10 by comparison.
which made me laugh when someone tried claiming the league can be proven weak as spurs are 5th.... yh so weak the team spending the 3rd highest or w.e is 5th.
I get their wage bills lower ettc and what not but still theyve pushed a lot esp compared to how they used to run. Levy and other guys pumped some right money into their tams recently.all sacking the managers off wont have been cheap either.

Could have announced it later, my guess is they thought it would go under the radar with all the focus on Klopp at present
I think the players have been impacted by the number of games (going far in 4 competitions), the number of injuries, the relative lack of experience in the squad, reliance on young players to perform consistently, players new to the league/country, uncertainty around the manager. I buy that the missing of chances hit the forward players confidence and/or increased pressure. I even buy that the key poor refereeing decisions may have had an impact - thinking that it's not meant to be.
But the idea that the players were somehow negatively impacted by a ticketing protest?! Nah, no chance imo. Coincidence.

Yeah I don't think a few flags caused players to miss a host of chances.
Some of our fans will come up with every excuse under the sun to avoid placing blame on the players, it’s funny.
I see even a ticket protest is to blame.
Not liking our body language and team/management comments ahead of the Fulham game. Already acting defeatist when there still is a chance for a City slip up. These guys need to wake up and smell the coffee.
What did they say? And what were their body language gestures like?
Klopp 2nd half just sat down and accepted his fate. Players gave up 2nd half and ran out of ideas.
Then the interviews from Klopp and VVD were uninspiring and downbeat. Sounded like they were dreading Fulham and the other away games.
Does feel a bit like they put so much emphasis on winning everything for Klopp that being knocked out of the FA cup took a lot out of them mentally which has been exacerbated by the past week.
The downside to the announcement really, but it's not something that could be avoided really.
The dreams of the quad and pgmol are to blame

I strongly disagree with this kind of hypothesis tbh. Last season we were crap because Klopp didn't have players.
We improved this season because we got Klopp some players, but he has taken it as far as he can with the squad we have. We weren't even expecting a title challenge this season.
For it to end like this hurts like a beach, but the fact of the matter is we have still overachieved massively this season. We had a while new midfield and players like Nunez, Diaz and Gakpo who hadn't settled in when compared with out title rivals who have had more settled squads under their managers. Arteta just added Rice and Havertz and that doesn't seem to have made the difference for them. City are arguably weaker than last season, but even if so, not by much.
For me I was concerned starting from, during and after the Arsenal game where VVD and Allison mistake lost us the game. That's the first time I thought we looked different than the rest of the season.
IMO, Klopp has extracted everything from this squad for this season and there's just nothing left. Add in the injuries and strange kick off times. We are driving on fumes.

The only players who should be running on fumes are:
VVD, Mac and Endo. Maybe even Gomez.
Everyone else has had breaks if its injuries, form or both. The players that came in including youth did an exceptional job and now we have had players return and the form nose dive.
I do agree with you that we were never expected to challenge for the title but expectations change.
I do though think the pressure of winning for Klopp has had the negative impact in the end. That United defeat left some scars.

I don't think it's the sole reason, injuries catching us up and certain players not yet being the finished article are bigger factors, but there was so much talk about wanting to go out the best way possible for Klopp that naturally you'll be mentally down when it doesn't happen.
Two games v United so close together where we failed to win both due to throwing the game away are bound to have affected confidence, especially the FA cup where we'd have basically had one foot in the final given we'd be playing Coventry.

If expectations change then change them again.
From what you say it suggests the injuries had a bigger impact than we think. Injured players don't always come back in form. What about the number of games played in short amounts of time? Individual players like Szobo, Salah, Nunez are individually out of form, Diaz has never been overly productive for us.
Furthermore your opinion only accounts for the games missed through injury, but it's likely Klopp's regime is tough in players as well, so it's not just about the games themselves.
In any case, my hypothesis should make far more sense than us losing our sheet because we didn't beat United at Old Trafford and we have therefore capitulated and forfeited the league and Ropey League titles after being mentality monsters all season.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry so I'll do both.
