I’m not sure that’s true really, Madrid are a great example of this.

Football seems to be more and more about continuity and a joined up approach between technical and coaching staff.

Am I the only one who’s kind of excited? We not the same Liverpool as ten years ago, Pep won’t be around much longer, great squad , Inglethorpe still working wonders at youth level. It’s hard to tell for sure but our under 23 squad would be arguably top three in Europe. As a squad right now I could make a case for a top five in world football, certainly top ten.

We’re in good shape.

The Edwards and Ward thing is odd, be interesting to know what that is all about, but let’s see how we go.

Commercially we’re light years ahead of where we were pre Klopp, the ground is as big as it’s ever been seared, training facilities updated and Edwards is back.

Slot seems a considered appointment and as long as he doesn’t talk absolute shiiiiiiiiiiit ala Rodger’s and Woy he’ll get time.

Lose three or four players (Matip, Thiago and maybe Tsimikas plus one more - Gomez for me) and sign two or three good ones and it could be fun.

I just want to see the real Edwards in action again this summer. £40m for Tsimikas from a club like Brentford.

Will Edwards have the same succes without Klopp? We will know the answer in the next few years.

Michael Zorc became a shte technical director when Klopp left.
