If we not selling anyone, we don't really need an attacker tbh
DM is a must though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do think we need a RF. We have to have a succession plan even with Mo staying.
10 goals and 10 assists in the EPL is a more than decent return but I've never been particularly wowed by Gordon. Very good but not great.
I'd far rather we kept Diaz and invested the money elsewhere.
He's shown up in a lot of important momentums too
We need a striker, none of ours can put the ball in the net consistently enough aside from Salah who will likely leave either this year or next.
We need a DM as our first priority.
We need a centre back.
I’d suspect a few incomings tbh. It’ll be a big change this summer.

Agreed
We scored 81 goals this season.
All in the season that Salah has been shiiit and our forwards can't score for shiiit either.
We hit poor form at the wrong time but the reaction is hilarious

We have a reliable finisher...but for some reason we choose to keep out wide and made him our chief creator
6 months is a long time in football. Before Xmas there was talk of us having the best forward line in the league in terms of quality and depth. Fast forward to today and we can't finish for sh*t and we need a forward.
Personally I can't see a big change in personal coming. We'll need to make a couple of signings to replace squad members moving on but suspect we'll only go big on DCM and CB.
As much as I get the sense in replacing Salah early, in reality I think that's a tough ask for the type of players I suspect we might want. If we went to the likes of Kvaratskhelia (for example) and said, we want you to replace Salah, I can imagine a very positive response. If we went and said, we want you to replace Salah but for at least the next year you'll be competing with him for a spot - I can imagine the response would be something along the lines of, come back in 12 months when you actually want to replace him.
Khvara plays on the left, but point taken.
Not every players is Khvara though. His stock is extremely high and he would cost a bomb. There's very few players that would actual be able to turn down that offer.

I might be wrong of course and maybe we'll unearth a gem, but I would have thought we'd be in the market for someone whose stock is extremely high.
We each have players we'd like to see come when Salah does move on, I doubt any of those would want to play second fiddle to Salah for a year. Or even compete with him.
I guess my point is, we'd be in the market for those very few players that could turn it down. Or at least, I'd hope we will be.
It will be difficult to replace Salah's skillset on the pitch. I'd say the side will have to evolve post Salah.
I mean we'll never really know but you get the impression this was the plan for Nunez...the change in tactics. A lot of things point to the succession plan already being implemented
If we go 4-2-3-1 (which seems likely), I can see Szoboszlai on the right and Elliot in the middle, post-Salah of course

I think you could just as easily say that about having a top class DM and CB's who aren't made of biscuits though.
We lost v Palace due to horrendous finishing, but Everton, United and West Ham were all a mixture of bad finishing and crap defending.
Romano saying Koopmeiners from Atalanta is a ‘done deal’. Looks like a lazy guess to me, as he plays further forward, not a priority position for us.

He is very similar to Dom so would be a odd choice. Good player though.
I keep saying our defence and midfield is too slow. Endo is in possession and our of possession slow. The guy needs two touches to control the ball where one touch is sufficient. We need a big upgrade in the number 6 position.
Slot has a good pressing pattern whereby the opposition is forced to the sideline but the question is whether the players have enough respect for him to do what he asks of them.

yh things changed, nunez got injured lost form, salah went afcon came back injured and in awful form. Jota got injured multiple times. Diaz got persisted with even though his contribution to goals was the worse of the lot.
Think its fair to question Salahs age/contract, Jotas injury record and Diaz productivity. Nunez and Gakpo for me deserve more time. We should also be seeing more of Danns based on what we've seen of him so far.
The Diaz father sheit too always sumin up facking us up. That injury crisis too we navigated quitte well but clearly took a lot out the first teamers who stayed fit during it.
Jones was in fine form, best hes ever looked for us then came back looking like he'd regressed 4 years, same with Szoboszlai.

And yes Danns has criminally been underplayed since he won us the cup final
