Looks pretty boring TBH. Not a huge Nolan fan, but I guess the effects and sound will be impressive at the iMax, how much are tickets there though, like £20?

Apparently it's epic. Well worth seeing. IMAX at Waterloo is £17

Didn't look all that from the trailer.

I think they've been good not to give too much away. I'm going to see the amazing effects as they travel through space. Hoping for 2001:Space Oddysey style 'wowness'.

If it's good i'll do an article about it and no doubt VC comes on with his weird faux-arguments about how Christopher Nolan was unlucky to get a yellow card.

Maybe, like I said not really a Nolan fan. The movies have been pretty terrible this year, only film I'm looking forward to is PTA's Inherent Vice.

I saw Fury the other week. Surprisingly good and amazingly gory.

8 & 2, equally sh-t really.

danny had his chance to step up to the plate last season especially with van persies injurys and poor form. He bottled it. Hopefully valencia and few others will be following him out the door in the not to distant future...

I think VC has taken his angry pills and passed out.

It'll never have 2001's wowness, Kubrick plus Trumbell pissses all over anything Nolan could ever achieve. I'm guessing it will have a far higher tempo than 2001.

Aren't you looking forward to Christian Bale playing Moses?

How did he bottle it? He went on a good scoring run and then was dropped when Mata was signed and Rooney went up top.

Such a racist film. Barely any Egyptians at all. Awesome Aussie actor Joel Edgerton playing Rameses though. Big miss for Chelsea's midfield.

Welbeck's pace may have given us a different option but he never had a future at United as a first teamer and he's not pulled up any trees at Arsenal.

He's looked average for Arsenal and has only had two good games - it's a case of new club same old Welbeck.

Will be interesting to see what happens with him once Giroud is fit because, as I said when they signed him, he's by no means guaranteed to be first choice when Giroud is fit.

Actually, Edge of Tomorrow I thought was good, very unexpected. Went completely under the radar but was actually different to the usual Hollywood blockbuster krap. It actually felt like playing a computer game.

Rob, the lack of Jews in it is more racist.

It was good until the end which made no sense. Before that it was great.

Dunno, all the Arsenal fans I know love him and for similar reason many did at United, his desire and effort. When he isn't scoring he's still helping the team.

I can't even remember what happened at the end but it seemed to make sense at the time.

Jews/Egyptians? either way it has an Australian and a Welshman who was brought up in Bournemouth.

Hardly the Middle East!

How does that contradict what I said? That was the exact reason so many at United loved him.

It wasn't because he was a quality footballer and scored goals. New club, same old Welbeck.

Many Arsenal fans on here are saying he's been average and his hardly, if at all, an upgrade on Giroud - just that he gives them a different option. Not the travesty people are making out about selling him.

Thought Edge of Tomorrow was very good as well.

Many Arsenal fans on here also are married to their sisters and can't eat solid food. Welbeck has been a good signing and we'll start to see how good a signing now Walcott is back.

Sanchez, Walcott and Welbeck will be formidable.

Sorry you're right. I dunno, I still miss him, he offers something we lack and all our strikers have been pretty useless this season so far. 5 in 10 ain't that bad a start really, but he's gone so little point moaning about it.

posted on 4/11/14

True, Rob, but some of the sensible fans are actually saying it.

Thus far he's not been a good signing. He's scored two premier league goals, one more than Giroud, has been injured for ages, and had a brilliant game against Gala in the CL.

Obviously signings aren't judged off of their first few games, so in time it may well be one, but I still see no change in Welbeck and he's not improved them in any way - Sanchez is the reason they're even fourth. Had they not got Sanchez they'd be doing even worse and Welbeck's lack of goals would be a much bigger issue.

Walcott, Sanchez and Welbeck has potential to be very good, I agree. But I think you're massively underestimating Giroud's role in the Arsenal side.

Welbeck hasn't made himself undroppable and that's the only way he'll consistently keep Giroud out of the side as Giroud is Wenger's love child.

I dunno

it seems utds standards really dropped in the last few seasons if the departure of a player like welbeck is lamented. He wouldnt have got anywhere near a starting spot in any of fergies top teams and even pre fergie he would have struggled with the form hes shown in the last few seasons
