How would winning titles make him better at football? How would being at Cheslea make him better at reading the game? How would playing for Chelsea improve his balance? Yet again you fail to think things through which for a Doctor is worrying.

PS;

Everton are shít

What, in particular, do you think Gerrard would have become better at?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Winning titles maybe?,reading the game better maybe? Not losing his balance in important matches maybe

I think we would all agree that had Gerrard moved, he would have gotten 'better' at playing for a club other than Liverpool.

posted on 2/1/15

Anyway I'm gutted that he's decided to leave Liverpool FC.

You will improve as a team and a club the moment he kicks his last ball in anger for Liverpool.

It's a great day for Liverpool FC so no wonder there's so many articles about him leaving.

Will LA Galaxy sign the Hollywood ball specialist?

You think Shearer could have scored more than the 260 goals that he did?

You don't think Alonso, Mascherano, Torres, Suarez are top players?

What, in particular, do you think Gerrard would have become better at?

But you'd just said that moving club would have made him a better player and more likely to become a premier league great. When asked how, you provided those reasons.

Literally, the only thing that would've changed if Gerrard moved was that he probably would've won a league title.

Read it again I answered the question what Stevieme would have become better at.

I answered winning titles as he has none to his name, becoming better at reading a game as the likes of mourinho would have improved him as a player as he is a far superior coach than any he has served under at Liverpool or England or do you not agree with that?

It's true, he didn't say it...

...he typed it.

...for the world to see.

You can't teach someone to read the game better, at least not enough to make an already incredible player noticeably better.

Do you seriously believe what you've just typed.

Gerrards biggest weakness is reading the game as a deep lying midfielder.

Why coach or train players then, because as far as you are concerned players won't improve if you try

that's exactly what he was nominated for team of the season for doing

His reading of the game is nothing short of terrible.Part of the reason you shipped so many goals last season was due to Gerrards poor reading of the game, often exposing your defence due to his lack of discipline to sit in front of the back 4 to offer protection.

There was no coincidence in Leicester scoring 2 and creating numerous chances when Brendan decided to play a rested Gerrard in the heart of your midfield.

He is total liability in that role,I'm just gutted that he's fooking off the end of the season

Phil you can train or coach a lot of things, but reading the game is a skill that can't really be taught. You can teach a player positioning and positional discipline and to watch for runs, but it's down to the player to actually see and interpret a players movement. You can't teach a player that sort of anticipation.

Gerrard has long been a great reader of the game, highlighted last season when it was the main attribute needed for the role he played, when he was nominated for player of the year at 34 years of age.

You talk some absolute cack but this has to be top of the list.

Jesus.

Be thankful he's gone the end of the season, your first 11 will be stronger because of it.

How has he performed this year in the same role, will he be up for player of the year again?.

==========================

Never spots a run and I'm surprised he made it at all really especially as he started defensively.

Rafa never liked tactics ether so he had nothing to offer Gerrard coaching wise and within weeks at Chelsea he would have come on leaps and bounds in the realms of perception. You could say he'd free his mind because that's entirely tangible, apparently, and as a Doctor..... Phil knows.

Yeah Lucas, Henderson or Allen will sure show us that we're better without Gerrard.
