It's not a debate

Hearns
Leonard
Duran
Benitez
Henry Armstrong
Ray Robinson
Jose Napoles
Pernell Whittaker

And a few others I've probably missed

Not to people with eyes

Let's take the top 5 from that lot then

Robinson
Armstrong
Leonard
Hearns
Duran

Mayweather better than any of those? Not in the universe or any other, he wouldn't last 3 rounds with tommy Hearns

Alvaro you seem to know what you're talking about.

How do you think Floyd would have fared in the 80's against the likes of Hearns, Leonard and Duran ?

Hearns would have knocked him out in 3 rounds at most

Leonard 6 rounds

Duran would have worn him down and stopped him late on

Duran's style is actually fairly decent for Floyd, but Duran was so good at it Floyd would still have been worn down eventually

Yeah I also think Floyd loses to all three

Would have been a fascinating fight.

Floyd's defence against the Hands of Stone.

I remember seeing an interview with Leonard where he said he wasn't sure if he would have beaten Floyd. Maybe he was just being modest.

How do we think Manny fairs against the 3 of them?

I don't think Modest and SRL go well together Superb, have you read his autobiography?

It's worth a read but you can't (well I couldn't) shake the feeling that he thinks he's the smartest man around boxing.

It's weird cause I like him but I wanted to scream through the book at him at times

To this day I've never worked out if I like Leonard or not.

Do you remember that TV show he did with Stallone about ten years ago all about trying to find the next Rocky type fighter ??

Can't remember what it was called now.
