Did anyone else on here used to watch the contender and what did you guys think of it?
Derby I didn't watch Ultimate Fighter. That's the UFC show right ?
The Contender was great for its time though. Loved the music.

Yeah, it was exactly the same premise and (briefly) got me into MMA. They're your basic crappy reality shows but involve people beating the crap out of each other
I've just seen a few clips of it with Ronda Rousey. She's awesome.

Think you've hit the nail on the head superb and that it's Manny's really relying on a knockout punch as most cannot see how he can outbox Floyd.
If you didn't know much about boxing though it might make you wonder what all the hoohaa was about
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pacquiao will school Floyd, as long as it is a fair fight.

Las Vegas is in America and Floyd is an American. It's not rocket science.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What a daft comment to make
If that were true every non american fighter would not fight in Las vegas.
Back in 2011 Pacquiao won a controversial split decision over marquez in vegas. Oh but i forgot only americans get the advantage in Vegas.

Stylistically Floyd against Leonard is the fight I'd have liked to have seen most.
We haven't seen Floyd fight enough really skilled fighters like that in my opinion.
Not saying it's totally Floyd's fault before you inevitably jump on my back Vik

He's not allowed on Ace until he's finished his homework, as you can see it takes him a while but at least he's trying <patonthehead>
Thinking about this Superb i'm gutted at the odds now as it really is looking like Manny's only chance is a knockout and if so is it going to impact really badly on his career if he gets completely schooled?
Not at all, when you consider the calibre of fighters he has been in with and who he has beaten. As it stands Manny has better names on his resume that Floyd.
Would say they're about similar myself Paisley. Think they're skills aren't too far off but in different areas which is why this is a fight that's been salivated over for a while.

You could make a better tune yourself gargling on Mayweather's gravy.
As long as boxing and betting have gone together there have been massive upsets. Douglas over Tyson at 42-1 is just an example,Prescot-Khan another.
Pacquiao is not anything like these outsiders and the suggestion that he only has a punchers chance is wrong. Bookmakers don't throw punches and most have never visited a training camp prior to a fight. Don't mistake odds for likelihood of outcome, like all of us it is just opinion but, putting your money where your mouth is. If you like Mayweather back him and if you like Pacquiao the odds are generous so get on.
Still evens that the fight goes ahead.
Still evens that the fight goes ahead.

Really enjoyed reading your post and it put a few things into perspective
But evens that the fight goes ahead ? What does that mean exactly ? Isn't it dead cert that the fight goes ahead ?

Most of them have never kicked a football, thrown a rugby ball, hit a cricket ball or drove in an F1 car either, but they're still right MOST of the time.
The good thing is that it gives people another thing to talk about too.
Why have the bookies got it that far apart? is that what most of the bookies have or is it an anomoly (if it's most of the bookies then i'd be more worried by it).
As for evens Superb, reckon it's to do with injuries or the fact that a lot of people will still be expecting one of them to pull out soon. Pretty easy money for them really.
Even money that the fight goes ahead?
If this is true the bookies must know Floyd is a ducker and can't wait to pull out.
My tip for all of you is Pacquiao on points.

Or that Mannys gonna feign injury at the sight of a needle .
I'll take that bet with you, if Manny wins I'll write a glowing art on him, if Floyd wins you doone on Floyd
