No it's not, Zidane and Kaka were both attacking midfielders.
Though Zidane was often shifted out wide becauae Raul and Ronaldo were more important for Madrid.

Why because Totti was better than Zola and I think Zidane is overrated? If so then fair enough, bit strange to be upset about that but it's a valid opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
now im upset? your views and irational posting is something of a joke. Thats why. I've seen you raving on about zidane in previous articles thats why.
Darren
Ha, ok.
I guess a problem with these sorts of things is that so many people build up ideas of how well rated players are and can then over/under estimate the truth.
Like others have mentioned Beckham got plenty of stick because of his fame and that then seemed to skew people's view of him as a footballer and all of a sudden everyone claimed he was overrated that he ended up being underrated.
People seem to want to have black and white views on players where more often than not the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
I think a similar thing happened with Zidane where he seems to get a kind of backlash because of perceptions that he id considered one of the greatest when I think he's usually labelled in the best 10-20 players. I'm sure in the not too distant future people will be claiming Messi and Ronaldo were overrated.
People rating Beckham as underrated and zidane as overrated know nothing about football. im outer here no point arguing with foools

Benzema to your op

Yes, I do agree, but I don't think a lot of them were up for debate.
For as "outrageous" as people are claiming this article has been, it has led to a good debate on players like Zidane, Pires, King etc.

Terry is a good player but he'd be exposed under an attacking coach.
He could never have played for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and that's why I'm saying he has been overrated.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ffs love that argument, so in 2010 when chelsea scored over 100 goals JT was exposed was he?
In the second half of 2004-5, when chelsea had duff, robben, joe cole, lampard, drogba, gudjohnsen etc usually with 70 percent possesion he was exposed?
People are strange, you play to your teams strengths and JT was the best CB of the PL era
I've always maintained Zidane is a fantastic player, a joy to watch, but it doesn't mean he wasn't overrated.

It's hardly suggesting 2+2=5, is it?
Beckham gets attacked because a lot of British people are envious of his success.
Zidane gets plaudits for influencing games when he did not do it regularly.

All these players, except Dead-Knee King, were good players.
Some people just haven't understood what 'overrated' means unfortunately.
I agree with 3 players on the list but think you are being harsh on the other 8.
The 3 I agree with are Terry, Gerrard and Bergkamp.
Terry- undoubtably a very good the defender but more often than not has been well protected and the system at Chelsea has suited him more often than not. He struggled under AVB and if he signed for any other PL club tomorrow he wouldn't look near as impressive.
Gerrard- again a very good player and had some great moments in big games but not an all time great outside Liverpool for me. Was made to look better by having played in an average team. Remember Benitez playing him right side or as a 10 because he didn't trust him as a midfielder. When Liverpool did actually sign top players he wasn't even the main man. Suarez and Torres comfortably outshone him. Maybe being harsh but I agree with Sir Alex.
Bergkamp- very talented but not in the top bracket of PL forwards for me
Players i disagree with
Casillas- Was a world class keeper but has declined young for a keeper
Lahm- got moved to midfield because Pep said he was the most intelligent player he had seen and not because he was a poor full back. Was top class as a full back countless times for his country.
King- didn't think he was rated that highly anyway. Shame injury destroyed a potentially great career.
R Carlos- fantastic attacking full back. No one expected much defensively from him
Iniesta and Zidane- please now. Modern great of the game
Pires- fantastic player imo
Zola- magician. In a way 'twas a shame he left just before Chelsea became a top side
Marcelino is a silly twerp. I'm outta here too.
