My god, just watching motd2 Cech has had a shocker

I'll be furious if we sign another DM or CM. Absolutely furious. We almost have too many as it is.

Herrera, Schweinsteiger, Fellaini, Blind (as a CM), Perreria all couldn't get in that team yesterday from the off. Probably forgot someone else too.

Why on earth would we need another?

If he buys him, he's a mad man. Bonkers.

posted on 9/8/15

Wouldnt be surprised if Herrera was sold.

How is Oxlade Chamberlain getting away with the second goal?

He dribbles ball in box loses it and just stands still and doesn't even attempt to get it back and watches Zarate shoot.

Lazy and awful team player to do that.

I'd rather LVG leave than Herrera. And I mean that 110%.

Agree.

Herrera should be one of the first 3 names on the team sheet.

The only quotes that are there are from De Boer saying he will be expensive now, probably responding to a question from a journalist, who was probably asking on the basis that he is Dutch and that we might be after a goalkeeper.

So what we can gather from this article is the media like linking LVG to Dutch players, when infact he has double the net increase in Argentinian players.

Not that that means anything either, when we go for a keeper next season we will be aiming higher than this guy, unless he has some kind of amazing season.

posted on 9/8/15

LVG really isn't the guy for us. Just doesn't understand what it is that makes United fans tick.

This coming summer it's likely that Ancelotti, Pep and Klopp will all be available. Imagine missing out on all 3 for another season of one shot on target followed by the last 10 mins of games defending in our own area needing our keeper to make wonder saves to get that all important ground out win.

People say that Rome wasn't built in a day and it takes time to bring the flair to a team.

Well, Koeman took over a Saints team who'd lost half their side in the summer and within weeks he'd led Saints to an 8-0 win. Anyone ever think we'll see an 8-0 win under LVG?

We should get Moyes back in, you were a lot happier when Liverpool were finishing above us.

posted on 9/8/15

That's always the immature response. It's not about Moyes anymore. The past is the past. What it is now is about a manager who wants to make us functional rather than expansive.

There seems to be this weird limited viewpoint amongst some fans right now where we should be thankful for the dross we see every week just because we're doing (slightly ) better under LVG. There are other, more suitable managers.

And ps, had Suarez stayed in fairly certain we'd have finished under Liverpool last season too.

*I'm fairly certain

i was pretty harsh about LVG on here last season (me and Macca were the worst I think). His clean slate proving me wrong season didn't start too well.

Cillessen is pants. He's too lightweight for PL top teams.

Robb, it's not about the fans though.

posted on 9/8/15

Ps had Bale and Messi joined I'm pretty sure we would still have finished above Liverpool last season.

LVG is giving us improvement, he doesn't look like finishing below Liverpool though which I suspect is your problem with him.

Yeah, because that's the same thing. Suarez did play for Liverpool and we and Jose finished below them. No doubt had he stayed we'd still have finished below them.

I think you've had a few drinks if you think I give a crap about Liverpool unless you're one of those full kit wearing waaaankers who call other fans wums just for acknowledging that Liverpool have bought well this summer.

Based on your Extensive Dutch league knowledge no doubt.

I have only see him 6 times and that was in world cup where he had some bloody good moments and some dodgy ones.

Nowhere near enough to judge him or write off though.

He could turn out an excellent keeper. He might not. But hardly anyone on here has seen him enough times to know that yet.

With Messi at right back and Bale in goal? Not so sure.

To be fair to Feyenoord, I think he is the one fan on these pages who actually is Dutch!

They are both hypothetical situations based on fantasy rather than reality.

How about this one instead, if we got the same kind of points from our first 10 games we got from the rest we would have finished second last season.

I think your a Liverpool fan for many reasons Robb many of us suspect your not a United fan, my money is on Liverpool although you do quite like Arsenal as well.

It's quite telling you were delighted with Moyes who had Liverpool thrashing us and finishing above us but dislike LVG who has done the opposite with Liverpool.

You are being too obvious these days.

posted on 9/8/15

Maybe so. But plenty of others have written him off despite never seeing him play a single club game.

I would have liked Lloris myself but just still fuming about the whole situation. It's a farce.

Also plenty said DDG wasn't strong enough for PL football. Turned out to be one of best to ever play in it.

I said on here the other day that I didn't believe that we should let De Gea go now as it is too late. However, if LVG isn't going to play De Gea until september anyway, we might as well let him go and see if we can get Lloris is. Offer them however much it is going to cost and throw Valdes in. Hernandez too if that is what it takes.

I am Dutch, following the PL and Dutch league. I never got the hype around cillessen. I don't rate him for the PL.

posted on 9/8/15

Yeah I'm sure a guy called Feyenoord Till I Die doesn't watch the Dutch league.

Well, with reasoning like that I can only imagine you're not the brightest one in your family. Or City. You're the one defending the shitt we see every week. You sound more like a wum than anyone else. Or at best wildly ignorant about the style of football United are famed for (clue - it's not sideways passing and minimal shots per game on target )

Rob will change his tune on LVG once Fellaini starts playing again.
