I've done virtually nothing in the main storyline yet. Haven't had a massive amount of time to play. As soon as I got out of the vault, I spent the next several hours scouring my neighborhood for for free stuff.
I did experience my first real bug when fighting the first deathclaw though. It chased me to a doorway at about 20% hp, where it proceeded to beat the crap out of me. When I stood up, I think between us we got stuck on the balcony or something, so the game 'ejected' us. Threw us a couple of hundred feet in the air. I landed fine, the deathclaw died on impact. I'm not complaining, because that thing was a pain in the ass to kill!

Ok i was unaware due to not being american, but Cheers was based in Boston, and it also makes an appearance in Fallout!
saw a super mutant last night. Ran away.
Also heard but not tested, if you take dog meat into the vault (111) and tell him to fetch he will grab the gun that was locked behind the glass.
Yes ive got him to get the gun -pretty good one aswell as it freezes enemies to death
Didnt know about the rotating stuff for building stuff. Cheers simon
Played it for around ten hours so far and only just started on the first mission. The VATS system is a lot more interesting and tense now that it only slows time down rather than freezes it
Tip: Try to get as much rad away as possible. Learned that the hard way when getting irradiated and it permanantly lowers your health until you use a radaway to get it back up
I have loads of Rad Away. Collected it whenever I have seen it. When I saved it last night I was back in Sanctuary, so will have to try the Vault 111 thing with Dogmeat.

to get him in there with you make sure you press the command button on him before going down the lift. Took me several journeys into the vault without him before figuring that out

Done a few story missions, some BOS missions, couple of Minutemen (what a name) ones.
Not overly impressed so far, seems like it's Fallout 3.5 more than anything.
Is base building worth doing? What does it get you?
I got the gun. But have no ammo for it.
Everytime I see Chris comment it's to say he's not that impressed

Chris mate what exactly were you expecting from fallout 4? Cant see how you can moan as surely something like fallout 3 was whg people imagined or am i missing something?
Simon, just feels like they were lacking a bit of creativity, it all feels very samey, which is strange because F:NV was very well received and that was really different to 3.
The bits they have changed too are, imo, for the worst, they've made the levelling up/skills bit a lot more basic and reading through the later perks I'm really not fussed about achieving them at all.
Not even saying it's a bad game, it's not, it's a very good one, much like Assassins Creed Syndicate though you just feel like they've got their set formula and aren't interested in doing anything innovative or groundbreaking.
There isn't much ground left to break in video games.

WNM to do the exploit the important thing is not to finalise the deal (square) after each step, check out a video i done but also the quick steps:
1) Purchase the entire supply of 1 ammo type from a trader, DONT press square to conclude the sale!
2) Instead press L2 to jump to your side of the screen, and "sell back" 1 piece of the ammo you are buying, it should be top of the list and seperate from your ammo of the same calibre.
3) Then sell back the rest of the ammo, if everything has gone as planned there should be 1 that doesnt cross to the vendors side.
4) Continue to sell this back to him until the amount he owes you exceeds that of the amount of caps he has NOW square and you should be a richer man!
