Cinci, welcome back. Some things have changed but not String spoiling things.

The first 2 episodes of The Acolyte seem to be getting mixed reviews.

Ok, so having done my best avoiding reaction vids and so on, my initial reaction is, for the first 2 Eps is…
7/10.
It’s ok. It’s interesting… but no game changer, and does leave questions..
I do have a problem with the show, but even with that, it’s already better than Kenobi and Mando 3. Is that saying much?…
The major issue I have is And the feeling I get is that the makers are treating this like a 3rd or 4th season and are kinda taking us for granted cos it’s set in the Star Wars universe…

Shiiiit just needs to be established.

But will that turn out to be a good thing or hurt it by the end. But it has potential…

oh the 1917 actor is in it, will wait until its all released

I don't think it takes much to be better than Obi wan.

It's always tough to gauge shows after 2 eps, feels like I start off giving these shows the benefit of the doubt and they end up having blown apart existence lore and being full of holes. Except for Andor which was the reverse.

I think 2 episodes is enough. It doesn't have to blow you away immediately but there should be elements that keep you engaged and interested.

Mando season 1 and Andor season 1 had those things.

Look fam, there’s no 2 ways aboot it… these 2 eps alone will split the fanbase.
Think it comes down to where we at with this franchise..
You willing to forego certain things, and are you willing to accept certain things.

After chatting to my mates today, gives mans pause for thought..

I dunno, I didn't hate Kenobi or BoBF after 2 eps, I didn't really think much of Andor after two eps.

Mando is a bit of an outlier I think.

I've heard episode 3 is attracting a considerable amount of backlash.

So 1 episode in - good start. Nothing mind blowing. Nothing to hate. Let's see how they do with the lore.
