The old adage ‘two wrongs don’t make a right’ seems prevalent IMO.
For example, here in NI due to the republican movement, many counter organisations were established. Many of whom, (UFF, UDA, UVF etc) became just as brutal/murderous and abhorrent as the IRA.
I’m not suggesting this is the same the world over but IMO countering one extremist group with another only instigates further division.
